I like the layout, Kevin. Easier to read the content this way. I can still afford DSL so for now I notice none of the loading time troubles dialups might.
The DVD burner sounds intriguing, but I'd have little room to place it. So far the only recording I do is on a VCR. How old-fashioned is that?
Cool thx. I'm going to keep it unless someone has a serious problem with it. I should mention that the DVD burner I'm giving away is an internal DVD drive for a computer. Here's a photo along with a key to figure out what things are.
I have a VHS player too, but I bought a DVD player for the telly a couple of years ago ($89 if I remember correctly). I haven't used the VCR since. I noticed yesterday that it's no longer blinking 12:00 so it may be broken

To make them switch randomly, you first need to create a bunch of banners, and name them banner0, banner1, banner2 etc. Then put them up on the web somewhere (I use photobucket.com), and add the following javascript:
var ranNum= Math.floor(Math.random()[numberofbanners minus one]);
document.write("")
replacing the words in square [] brackets with 1)the number of banners you uploaded minus 1, and 2)the actual url and filename of the banners, without adding the number at the end of the banner name, or the .jpg part.
Hmm, that didn't work. I guess I can't tell you how I did it, since javascript gets garbled when you try to write any in a comment. Ignore the comment above since it's very incomplete.
