Heh. Got my own rant going here, huh 
. It's much more serious than the rant in the previous post, but to me, enough is enough.
As an American, (and I'm sad to put it this way, but it's true) Israel is our only outpost of freedom in the entire middle-east. It's why we support them. It's not because they're Jews, because who the hell cares about that!?! No. I'm embarrassed to say that the real reason we support Israel is for self-preservation. They are the only thing stopping the scourge. If they fall, we all will. Soon.
This is why I support Israel, but it's also a desperate call for them to do much much much more to kill imams preaching 'jihad'. When someone says 'Death to America' or 'Death to Zionism', or 'Beat your wife softly', I'm completely ok with, and actively suppporting that person's death.
Seriously, enough is enough. Am I alone in this opinion? Before you answer, let me be as clear as I know how to be. I'm saying we should bug ALL mosques, and when we find an imam who says killing people is a good idea because God said so, we should kill him. No trial. Keep in mind, 90% of imams would suggest exactly this.
I advocate appeasement!!

This does seem to be the forgotten story...however, with all the "Israel bad" pushes that we see from the UN and the oh so smarmy intellectual elite, you'd be hard pressed to see Israel do much of anything...no matter what they do they're wrong. Even the last war they were in just a few months ago over this debacle has been rewritten as an act of Israeli aggression, and ultimately a loss. Though we wish we could see Israel be more aggressive, it's not going to happen over this...but it will happen, and soon I think.

I actually met Karnit Goldwasser a few months ago when she was traveling the US to raise awareness about her husband's kidnapping. Beyond the political/military issue, it really is the most tragic personal story. She didn't even get to celebrate her 1st anniversary with her husband.
And can you imagine what the US reaction would be if we knew beyond a shadow of a doubt (like Israel does) who did this to some of our soldiers? That's a good question to consider whenever you look at any aspect of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Seriously, we may have our issues with being stupid about illegal immigration, but I'm pretty sure that if the Mexicans or the Canadians were lobbing rockets over the border or supporting barbaric terrorism within our borders (perhaps you could argue that M-13 gang is doing a bit of that), we would bomb them off the face of the freaking earth.
I'm not sure I could have faced her. America is the land of the free, the home of the brave. We don't leave anyone behind.
Yet we tell Israel to "cut back a bit on your freedoms (so as to not hurt other's feelings), and maybe be a little less brave when attacking your enemy, so you don't kill as many of them. And those three soldiers? Leave them behind."
I don't blame Israel. It's us. We're letting the whole world down. We are told we are destroying the world, and so many of us believe them. When in fact, we are excising tumors from the Earth, and still have 4 or 5 to go.
My growing suspicion is that we would not have gone ahead and 'saved the cheerleader' if we were that guy from 'Heroes'.
The problem is shrunken gonads syndrome and it is being spread by the current PM Olmert.
One day he states that Israel may have to level Iran to keep them from getting the nukers, the next day he says that Israel has no plans to do so. Now that's a constructive message... for enhancing and accelerating terrorism. It plainly says "we talk loud, but just wear your earmuffs... we don't mean any of it".
Sounds like it's time for a Grass Roots campaign to promote Blogi as Prezi of Israel!
