one of my architects is gone. depressing. one thing can be said for goil. he was always out there and always creative. the problem was how functional or comfortable were the spaces. i absolutely loved his room tonight. it was pure fire and passion, but it was not luxury, and they said the furniture was not comfortable.
i love matt's design. i might have been more shocked or awed if i hadn't see the picture before. the only thing i have to say is anyone who can make a coffee table that is solid plastic look that chic, good job. sure his designers are very traditional and chic. would love to see him go funky.
andrea, i actually liked her room a lot. the only problem i had was the white wall, it was just a little too white. everything else looked very nice. did jonathan adler want her to chose the green he was wearing tonight?
carissa, i like a lot of her work, but often times am not overwhelmed. i loved tonight's design. she could have left out the story of the literal interpretation. i was afraid of the solid wall of curtains at first, but it looked beautiful in the end. the only real problem i had with her design (and partly matt's too) was the divider wall between the bed and other room. sometimes i like to walk around the end of my bed, so to have a divider right on the end of the bed was just annoying. plus it kind of made the already small room look even smaller.
a great show though, between this one and last one, TD is stepping up its game.

So.
Now we know fire place room is not Goil's...

so true, is it the obvious choice in carissa? or does it belong to andrea? not exactly her aesthetic?

The fireplace room looks exactly like Carissa, she does have a acknowledged love for MCM and that room, chair on right included, is all that. The amount of pillows also screams of her design.

Knew the fireplace room wasn't Goil's for reasons stated elsewhere, but I thought it was Andrea's work. HOWEVER, considering Goil lost this week with the same colors, it takes a very confident person to repeat them the following week. And unfortunately at this stage of the proceedings, sorry to say...
Andrea ain't it!
Here at the end, Carisa is going back to what she knows and does best, and the result is this room.

Jonathan kind of summed it up in the end when he said something to the effect that Andrea tends to be tentative about her design but that Matt and Carissa confidently put themselves out there. The whole notion that we are starting to "recognize" a Carissa room or a Matt room reenforces that they have an aesthetic that is coming across. (Now watch me be completely undermined when the spoiler picture that is so very Carissa tunrs out to be Andrea's!)

I too think the room with the fireplace is Carissa's. I think she and Matt are the final two.
Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I saw Andrea on an episode of Designers Challenge on HGTV the other day. Not sure when it was taped, but she designed an over-the-top pop-art inspired room. Nothing like she's done on the show, and not good IMO, but the clients loved it.
