Eight months ago I discovered the same thing by accident. Not only was my blog indexed, my url was as well, and almost instantly because I also put an rss feed on it.
Since then I've invested heavily in trying to get the word out about rss.
I have also discovered, and use, rss email, rss publishing, rss ezine and rss newsletter marketing with a new discovery - rss email autoresponder.
Your readers might like to investigate the most recent news on rss and how it WILL help them advance behond those who do not use rss for EVERYTHING they do on the internet if they market anything in any way. They can get this information @ www.rss-email.net
