My point is that the myth of the current recession we are in was created by the media. If you scream recession long enough and loud enough on TV, you can affect consumer confidence enough to create a recession.

Dave's point is that the media have talked us into a recession. Other than saying that we're winning in Iraq, this is probably the silliest thing that Dave has ever written, here anyway.
The storm clouds of vapor finance and energy shortages have been looming for years, and some people in the media are finally catching on. Chris Farrell obviously excepted.
My financial contribution to MPR is to get rid of Chris Farrell and Bob Collins--Farrell because he's so wrong and Collins because he's so worthless--and save probably a couple hundred thousand. Now will that advice get me an on-air acknowledgement?
