Not sure about the top five, but if memory serves correct, the number one fine was a T-Paw coordination fine for a commercial - something well into six figures. I'll have to look that one up to be certain.

T-Paw did get fined a hefty fine - however if memory serves he came out quite a bit ahead on the deal - the advertising value of the commercial was much greater than the fine.
But back to Entenza. Isn't lawbreaking while running for A.G. a total disqualifier for seeking any other high office?

Entenza's hardwired to be a major endorsement contender because the DFL insiders don't give a damn about anything but who kissed their asses last.

Given the DFL track record since 1990, I'd say "never," but hope springs eternal.
And yes, for most people breaking the law in pursuit of an AG position would be a deal-breaker. As would doing oppo research on a member of one's own party who was running for a position you weren't seeking. But hey, Matt Entenza is swell, because he's willing to self-finance with the money his wife earned at UnitedHealth.
I would have to agree - that illegal activity should count significantly against him.
Equally troubling is Entenza's failure to use his authority well during the 2003 legislative session. Entenza had power but he failed to harness it is a way to stop seriously flawed legislation - much of it really bad for
women.
But then Entenza is a good ole BOY who will appeal to the good ole boy party leaders in the DFL - the governors race is by far the one that the DFL deciders tend to award to a chosen one. Remember it is not about leadership abilities, or finding a candidate who is not seriously flawed...Entenza will fit in well with Hatch and Moe....
