LOL, mom of 3. That was a really nice image. Unless she was snooping right outside our door I'm not sure if that's possible though - my guess is she just found it displeasing to the aesthetic quality of the hallway.

$\"Gravatar\"$ You can get lucky or unlucky with neighbours. I swapped a sweet old lady for a couple of women who were into drugs and loud music then back to a young family. No point rocking the boat with some people.

with the way you describe the
building. More established, \"civilized\",
so don't rock the boat.
Rather a cold atmosphere,
but still its peaceful (i.e., no
glaring loud music late at night,
garbage left outside the door, etc).

We had a similar incident with
neighbors ten years ago. After a couple
of years we began greeting each other
again, and now are quite friendly.
Of course we don't park on the part
of the street that they seemed to think
is \"theirs\", but we don't care.
Don't sweat the small stuff.
