Gravatar Sounds like the religious ed teacher needs to go to religious ed class herself.

Gravatar I would very much appreicate your help in advising where I could order merchandise specifically for the Pope's tour, the "1808-2008 Bicentennial of the Catholic Church in America". Thank You

Gravatar But Christopher, if it isn't presented in a 30 to 60 second fast-paced, 18-frames-a-second commercial featuring celebrities, actors, and athletes talking over hip-hop "music", can we really expect kids to "connect" with it? Do you really want them to read 2 or 3 (gulp) pages of stuff and trying to understand it? ;-)

Thank you Kim, but if you're referring to the "1808-2008 bicentennial" banner on top of this blog -- that's my own design, for which I haven't actually transformed into merchandise. I appreciate the compliment however. (For official merchandise related to the papal visit, see: PapalVisit2008.com).

Carl -- LOL, I know. (Neil Postman was right).

Gravatar One has to wonder where might be these folks attention during the Canon of the Mass? Perhaps some exposure to daily mass and, thus, a daily prayer for "Benedict XVI, our Pope" might mitigate some of this "disconnect."

Gravatar "“I really don’t know about the pope that much, so it’d be really interesting to know what he stands for,” said student Rachel Ainsworth."

Got a Catechism, Rachel?

He isn't running for mayor here...
