A shorter Phil Hickey with some actual offensive skills?

Nice ending line re Cincinnati.

A shorter Phil Hickey with offensive skills, and the willingness to fly to away games.

Desmond Howard did have more than just that one catch that year. While his ND catches put him in the race, his performance against OSU won him the trophy.

Luke Zeller
Luke Harangody

Is this a trend?

Will Mike Brey only recruit guys named Luke from Indiana? Or are they having jedi tryouts and they haven't found the right saviour yet?

Can't wait to see if he lives up to his billing.

Is he related to the Harongody who played FB for Indiana, and whose late TD catch set up Anthony Carter's 1979 heroics?

Harangody's dad, Dave, did in fact play TE for Indiana and I assume is the player in question. And Luke's older brother Ty is going to be a freshman on the IU football team this fall as well. So you can imagine what Hoosier fans were saying when Luke picked ND hoops over IU hoops.

This is a great site.

One critical comment. ND fans (of all people) should certainly know that The Trojan Marching Band cues up a *different* song for virtually every football scenario: first downs, TDs, sacks, key defensive downs ("This the only song you acknowledge"), turnovers, etc. To wit:

Fight On! (fight song) (first down)
Fight On! / Conquest (after TD / after extra point)
Another One Bites the Dust (sack)
Tribute to Troy (aka "The Only Song You Acknowledge") (defensive downs)
All Right Now (turnover)
1812 Overture (4th quarter)
Tusk (or TUSC) (game is in hand; time for gratutitous ucla bashing)

And there are other songs played during each and every game. You may tire of hearing Tribute to Troy when SC is on defense (we don't!) but I should think you could manage to villainize the TMB without downsizing their repertoire.

Fight On!
