I saw 3 good points in this article.

1. At an early age, CW was mature enough and smart enough to recognize his own weaknesses and face them without fear. Hence, he hired a great assistant coach, without fear. Not a lot of young men would have pulled that off.

2. CW displayed good character right from the beginning. A player was screwing around and not getting to class, and he gets punished. Doesn't matter who it is, dues have to be paid. Class Act from day one.

3. Discipline, hardwork, and good character mean CW was able to put together good teams right from the beginning. Impressive.

It's great to see the SB Trib scoop Charlie's hometown paper, the Newark Star-Ledger, who has already done its share of homage-paying to Coach Weis (albeit with a jab at the University of Our Lady for canning Ty). And atepesm, it's good to see you posting on blogs again. We miss ya!

is it me or is Charlie purple in this picture

Charlie is purple, so is that kid adjusting his helmet. What I don't think you kids these days know is back in the day we were a much more purple species, then after the Great Welch's shortage of the late 80's, humanity grew ever less purple. I remember back in the day when Grimace was played by an actor without makeup.
