As a recent reader of BGS I am amazed that the blog is only a year old. The whole things feels far wiser than that.

Thank you BGS for providing so much so well.

Long may BGS blog. Long may ND excel.

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for your efforts over the year and kudos for reaching the million mark.

As an every morning reader I look forward to all contributions on this blog. You guys do a fantastic job.

Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Keep up the good work!

GO IRISH!!

I first stumbled onto BGS just hours after having my heart ripped out of my chest by Pee-Wee Peet and his mercenary thugs, um, I mean "student"-athletes. Since then, BGS has been the first and last site I check every day, with about 20 visits in between. My productivity has taken a hit, but at least I'm up to speed on every conceivable aspect of ND football!

Happy Thanksgiving and keep up the good work.

You mentioned the birth of the blog, so I just had to go back and revisit some of the first posts. One thing I found that made me laugh was the "ND Coaching Search" post on 12/6/04, in which Weis was given the lowest grade among all coaches considered in that post. Among other things, Weis was knocked for his physical appearance (can you imagine that!) Looking back now, I don't think any of us can imagine a harder-working, more intelligent man "fit" for this job. I guess this just underscores the value of value of having a coach that has ties to the University and an understanding of the mystique of ND....the intangible that comes with this extra degree of loyalty that can only be found within the ND family. Thankful we are to have Coach Weis home at Notre Dame...mad props to the PTB here at ND for picking a winner. And thanks to you guys for doing a steller job with BGS. Keep it up.

Thanks to you guys for your relentless pursuit of all things Irish.

Your articles are better written, more timely, and more in touch with the true fans of Notre Dame than any magazine--online or print--I've read. Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving BGS !!

Thank you for keeping all us so well informed!!!

Go Irish !!!!

I can't add anything to what was already stated so well above, so I'll just say Happy Thanksgiving guys, and thanks for being here.

Pat

P.S. When and where was the "BGS Lounge" photo was taken?

The picture was taken some time in the 40s. The dorm isn't identified.

And I am thankful for all the work you have put in on this great project. Question, as an old (very) alumni i liked the picture of the dorm room but couldn't figure out which one looked smart enough to have the grades to get it. ( will explain to any young'uns who don't get the reference)

Happy Thanksgiving BGS...

Youse guys are the big turkey leg of my online feast of all things Irish. Keep up the great work and don't fill up on that razzleberry dressing.

Thanks to all you guys at BGS. You guys provide truly AWESOME commentary and information. I check this site every day and I am constantly impressed with the quality of your work.

As a student, I can tell you that your website is visited by just about every guy I know on campus. Your blog is awesome. Keep it up.

Keep up the great work. Good resume stuff. Blue-Grey Sky comes back to life. Grantland Rice is smiling somewhere.

BGS,

Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

I really enjoy your blog.

The ND Club of Tokyo thanks you--the internet is my lifeline to ND sports coverage, and you guys are the highlight. I'll be sharing whatever witty analysis you guys have with the rest of the club when we meet Sunday morning to watch ND beat the Trees. Go Irish, and Go BGS!

How about a big thanks to TW for not being able to close the recruiting deal of Reggie Bush (we were #2). Think of the ramifications.

Thanks for the intelligent and frequent posts. This blog is a can't miss each and every day for me...keep up the great work.
