Does this mean we currently have the nubmer one class for 2007? Ha, couldn't resist. |

USC |

Love the fact he committed on the spot. His tape must be pretty incredible for Weis to offer right away. |
Personally, I'm a bit concerned that Weis seems to be loosening up a bit with his focus and intensity, what with not looking at class of 2007 tapes until 5:30am. |
Or looking at them until 5:30am! |
Can somebody clarify a point? SBT has him at 6'5" while Charlotte Trib has him at 6'2". |
I would more than likely trust the Charlotte Trib since that's his hometown. SBT tends to mix up some numbers everynow and then. |
As he's still growing, he probably will be 6'3", 6'4" by the time he suits up in 2007. |
I am just loving the way Charlie goes about recruiting. This guy wastes no time, like one could on, say, a golf course... |
Why was it appropriate to yank a kid out of class so that a coach could offer him a scholarship over the phone? |
chill about the out of class. . . that was the kids decision. |
6, C'mon, it's a high school history class. If he qualifies academically for ND, he probably isn't really gaining anything out of the class anyway. I don't think I showed up sober for a history class my junior or senior years and I still aced them both. Heck, I only showed up on test days for world history my frosh year in college and passed with a B. Besides, it's not like they pulled him out to play football. They pulled him out to get a full-ride scholarship offer to a premier academic institution. They probably would have done the same if Harvard had called to offer him an academic scholarship. |
Obviously Number6 is not familiar with the South and how we love our football down there. |
The entire class was probably at a stand still while he took the phone call, anyway. It is not everyday a student will get a scholarship offer from one of the top universities in the country. I can picture the entire class waiting with anticipation until Neal returned from the call, then everyone cheering and congratulating him when he told the class what happened. |
Somehow I doubt that Charlie called his HS and demanded he come to the phone that instant, class be damned... |
Kind of a funny story, but my senior year roommate at ND had a scholarship offer to play soccer at ND. |
Which school in Longview? I'm in Vancouver. |
I wonder what his Wonderlic score would be? |
For those interested, there is a very interesting article on Darius Walker and the $3 million pay-day he received from a racial discrimination lawsuit he made in high school over at NDnation. Interesting stuff. |
darius . . . pretty interesting. . . Easy to figure out why the family moved from georgia to south bend so easily (not that they didn't want to suppor there son but it seem like georgia has lots of problems especially if you read con law books) |
Chill, I don't think what Darius' parents did is all that rare actually. I believe over the years there has been a number of parents that have found ways to set up a home base in SBN while their children are playing football at ND. |
Michigan's got 3 recruits thus far, which is pretty impressive given it was LLLLoyd this year versus just LLLoyd. |
i better have something to read on monday. |
Amen to that tjf. I'm supposed to be an obsessive fan. At least create some sorta post that lets us create our on ND football stories. |
I suggest scotch and whiskey, my friends. It's the only way we'll make it through these dark days. |
I know there will be an article regarding this (it's probably being written as we speak, right guys?), but the Nagel committment now makes it TWO. Go Charlie! |
What I think Charlie should really do is recruit Terry Tate, Office Linebacker. I mean seriously, does going pro (as in professional office) use up his elligibility for college? I can't ever remember him playing anyone, so I think we might be able to finnagle this one through somehow. This needs to be looked into. |
Haha. That's good shit, Brad. But I'm sure Terry has been tainted in some sort of tOSU / FSU kind of way. In short, too risky. No, the blue chipper I was hoping would catch CW's eye would be Uncle Rico. Cameo's include: |
True, true. He can throw a football over dem der mountains. Competition between Frazier, Jones, and ol' Uncle Rico would be fierce. |
Spring break, spring break, I hate spring break! I need another post. Hurry back guys! |
Is that where these guys are? If that's the case then you are forgiven my son(s). And where the F is Seamus O? Come back to us Seamus you old rotten bastard. I mean that as affectionately as heterosexually possible.....not that there's anything wrong with that of course. |
No, please do not have Seamus come back, for the love of all that is good and holy in this world and the next. I'd rather have nothing to talk about. I can stand a true ND fan espousing views no one else shares (like Charlie, the poster, not CW) because while I disagree with him at least I can respect him and have a good debate on our feelings on the team. Seamus is nothing more than a tOSU fan having some fun by being a dick (not that there's anything wrong with being a dick....there is something wrong with being a tOSU fan though) and playing the part of a stereotypical Irish American. |
ESPN just put up an article on their website by Adam Somebody-or-other which focuses on Notre Dame's defense. Too bad I cannot read it, because its one of those damn INsider pieces (which is the biggest bunch of bullshit ever, every single good article on that website can't be read nowadays). Does anyone have that, or is anyone able to give us the gist of the article? I know what its gonna say, the same run-o-the-mill bullshit we should expect, and yet I'm compelled to know more all the same. |
