Would it be McKnight to Samardzija? Or Samardzija to McKnight?

I thought the Shark was the one known for his arm . . . . . although McKnight would definitely be more of a surprise attack. . . . .

"Who are you most looking forward to seeing?"

1. James Aldridge . . .

2. Any guy who can consistently create a lethal pass rush . . .

3. Also, I think it'll be nice to see Rhema cutting it up again . . .

The trick play was Randle El running a reverse and then pulling up to throw to Ward. So I figured most defenders aren't going to bite on a Samardzija reverse. Still, Jeff did have two or three aborted attempts at a pass last season. Maybe he'll finally get to uncork one.

The brilliance of Charlie continues to astound. So we have Golic and Golic, Tim Brown's in town, Raghib, a few NFLer's, Superbowl winner Jerome Bettis...if he doesn't get a commit or two on Saturday (assuming decent weather) I'd be very surprised. The guy is a showman. He knows how to impress.

Hell. That's it. I'm committing right now. Screw Michigan and OSU. F--- USC. I am declaring right freakin' now. I'm going to the my first BG game in ## years. Assuming decent weather of course...

McKnight played quarterback his senior year of high school. I'm sure that influenced Pat's thinking.

Bettis himself has been known to chuck the ball downfield a couple of times in his career - maybe he pulls a fake sweep pass, Walker to Samardzija - Touchdown.

Fumbleruski! With Chris "Mr. Plow" Stewart picking it up.

1. Excited to see the Safeties react to play action.
2. Vernaglia at LB.
3. Sharpley.

Looking forward to seeing most? Mr. Plow. He's got college size, so it would be nice to see if he's got the feet and hands to potentially steal that open RT spot. If so, I'd be willing to bet he's the starting LT after Harris graduates.

After that, it's anyone who can consistently pressure/level the QB and a dangerous, "you have to gameplan around them" LB.

Can't do the fumblerooski anymore. I think it's going to be the Statue of Liberty trick play.

I'd like to take credit for that Mike, but I forgot about McKnight's days as a QB.

"The picket fence". Sorry, wrong sport but right state.

1. The trick play should definitely be a tackle-eligible pass to Mr. Plow. He played basketball, so we know he's got ups. Plus, it would rule to watch people try to tackle him. Key word is try.

2. Other than the above mentioned plow, I really want to know how Vernaglia and Lambert play. Both ooze talent, and just haven't gotten on the field yet. I think it's interesting that Lambert has gotten to starting nod at CB (though obviously Richardson is out) and I really hope this kid makes a push for some serious playing time.

I'm thinking Sharpley catches a pass from Darrin Bragg, although that may be a little too obvious. Everyone knows that Bragg can throw.

I do like the idea of putting the ball into the hands of Mr. Plow. It could take him several minutes to reach the goal line with 11 guys on his back. I'll bet that Oldie could make an entire video out of that one play.

Mr. Plow........

or Mr. Touchdown?

Can't use Chris Stewart as ball carrier. Too big a chance to multiple injuries. Or put a red shirt on him and two flags on his waist.

Things I don't want to see:

1) A QB kneel down in the end-zone....

2) The winning team planting a flag at the 50 yard line.

They probably took the kickoffs out to negate the natural advantage that Rocket has returning them.

Honestly, my biggest hope is that no gets hurt and that the DB's don't bite on any play action. (and that the rain that they are forecasting stays away). It sure is fun again!

Sorry to be a one trick pony. But, does anybody know if there is a way, other than flying to South Bend to listen to WDND on my old Transistor Radio, to hear( or, be still my heart, SEE ) the Blue/Gold/Green game on the internet?

You'd think the game would be televised. I wonder why its not.

Trick play = reverse throwback to Quinn, long ball.

"Trick play = reverse throwback to Quinn, long ball."

A la Bobby Boucher in The Waterboy?

Is it just me, or did I miss DJ Hord's name on the roster? He is not listed on either team or as injured.

D.J. Hord, along with Chris Frome and Abdel Banda, have been sitting out all spring practice. Their names don't appear on the blue-gold roster because they won't be playing. The guys listed as injured are at least going to warm up with the teams according to Weis so I assume that Hord, Frome, and Banda won't even suit up.

The trick play will be Weis charging off the sidelines to push B. Quinn into the endzone.

Or The Shark doing the hidden ball trick.

The thing I would most like to see(if I could be there) is a wishbone composed of Aldridge, Walker Schwapp, and/or Thomas. God, I can't wait to see how Weis uses these guys in the fall... I feel like its 1991 all over again with so many different backs to choose from.

Trick play:
Double reverse--quinn fakes to Walker and pitches to J. Aldridge. Aldrige stops short of L.O.S. and LATERALS across field to MR. Plow who by this time has actually devoured four defenders (they were freshman) and 3 of their parents who tried to stop the slaughter by rushing onto the field. Mr. Plow 'runs' towards the endzone pushing aside tacklers like ants while part of the south end of the stadium crumbles under the vibrations (few are hurt in the debris) before PUNTING (live) into the waiting arms of Touchdown Jesus who comes down off of Hesburgh and reverse slams it through the north goalposts for an unheard of 24 point touchdown (its still in the rule books from when Knute Rockne proposed it).

After the play Charlie Weis, Chuck Norris and Bill Brasky do a triple high-five at midfield.

God do I love it whenever the name of Bill Bratsky is mentioned. He can do anything.

For more information about Chuck Norris feel free to check my 'homepage'.

Brian, don't forget that touchdown is only worth 24 points if the 5-point conversion attempt is good -- and of course it's no gimme. Word is that Tunney O'Hanlon has been practicing it and is up to a 40% conversion rate if he uses the pointy stick, but only a 25% rate with the curved stick.

If that's not a real rule, it should be. It could happen.

I'd like to see the Annexation of Puerto Rico.

Matt,

Step One: Get a bus.

Step Two: Load boyscouts onto said bus.

Step Three: Drive to Florida.

Step Four: Hire plane to airdrop busload of boyscouts over Puerto Rico.

Step Five: Annexation.

TO BILL BRASKY!!!

BILL BRASKY!!!

How are you gonna run the annexation of Puerto Rico without Becky "The Icebox" O'Shea, Rudy "Gasman" Zoltec, Hot Hands, Jr. Floyd, and "Rad Tad" Simpson? It'll never work.

A reverse to McKnight with a throw back to Quinn. Quinn (wearing the red jersey) can't be tackled and, thus, the play results in an automatic TD.

Stone.

The trick play will be a fumblerooski.

Check out ESPN.com. CLAUSEN WILL COMMIT TOMORROW MORNING!!

Game star, in my mind - Evan Sharpley. This kid showed tremendous pocket poise, and he delivered a few startling runs out of the pocket. Well done, Evan.
