Interesting that, despite this honor, Quinn was still in the "others receiving votes" category in this week's Heisman Watch (in the Austin American Statesman anyways). Of course, after watching him sail so many passes over people's heads in the first four games, I still have him in that ORV category myself. I do think/hope/pray that he had a turning point in the second quarter and won't return to that form. He's still tops in my book.

Fast forward to about 11:30 left and it's great.

You know, Criqui does a fine job...but it just lacks something...

Niether really deserves it.

Quinn looked shaky, and while I recognize his mental toughness to keep coming back to make big plays down the stretch, it was not his best effort. Rhema was outstanding.

Defensively, Landri played the best game for ND. That dude was everywhere on Sat. On a national scale though, how does a team that gives up 37 points and a rediculous amount of rushing yards turn in a "player of the week?"

It's an individual award Houser. Lambert didn't give up all of those points by himself. He did have two crucial interceptions though. One that he returned for the winning score and one that sealed the victory for the Irish. I do agree with you that Landri was playing like a man possessed out there, but awards like this tend to go to players that make the notable plays like interceptions or the like.

As for Quinn, I completely understand what you are saying. On the other hand, he did throw for 316 yards and 5 TDs in a monsoon.
