I listened to that '66 game on the radio and probably watched the edited replay the following day on TV. BC...before cable. BNBC too.

In '68 I was a student manager and got to watch Ara, Hanratty, and Seymour in practice. It was like meeting the gods.

Four posts so far today, eh? Guess we now know what Jay does on his Friday's...

(thank you)

It would be nice if everyone could remember an important member of that team in their prayers. Pete Duranko is suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease (although he recently assured me he is lobbying for a name change). He is coping well with his usual humor and optimism. Look for him at the game, just listen for a kazoo or the Victory March being sung in Polish.

That kick-off scheme is a thing of beauty.

PS

In high school, at the height of my football prowess (actually the lack thereof), I once unintentionally broke a kid's leg using the chop block on a kickoff. I'd rather things stay the way they are today re legal blocks.

I Have Heard Of The Irish..But purWHO? gooooooo IRISH

MSU is losing to Illinois 20-10 in the 3rd quarter...let's hope that's because we started their yearly tailspin, and not just a reflection on relative stink.
