A Georgia Tech win over Clemson will also help. |
For what its worth, No. 13 Georgia Tech, fresh off a bye week after defeating Maryland, travels to Clemson, S.C., to take on the 12th-ranked Tigers (ESPN, 7:45 p.m. ET). |
not sure if you kids heard yet, Georgia Tech plays clemson this weekend. |
Georgia Tech plays Clemson? WOw! |
Who does Georgia Tech play this weekend? |
Jeff, I think Georgia Tech plays Notre Dame this weekend. Should be an interesting match up. Another good game to watch is UCLA vs ULAC. Both are very evenly matched. |
Go Tech! If they beat Clemson and then take care of the Miami Thugz, they've got a pretty good shot at winning the ACC, and that sure won't hurt ND at all. |
Iowa wasn't so much looking ahead to Michigan so much as missing 7 key starters to injuries. Still, no excuse to loose to Indiana. |
The key to this weekend, as related to ascendant post-season aspirations, has less to do with ND winning (a must) as with the quality and soundness of that win. The team is coming off a bye. The coaching staff has had time, and more time, to make adjustments. In fact, we can say that they have had a lot of time to invent; why not introduce a new alignment or formation to the game that we pretty much invented? |
I think that we will see an Irish squad tomorrow that has been vastly coached up during the past two weeks. An important thing to remember is that because of the Fall Break week, ND was not limited to 20 hours of football work. That means the team gets to work more of an NFL schedule of 8-5 on nothing but football. ND really exploded offensively during this portion of last season, and I think we'll see that again this year. Also, Coach Weis hinted during his interview last week on an ESPN program that the Shark is really coming into form. I think that all the baseball playing definitely gave him some rust to his football skills, and when combined with the double coverage he's been facing, I think its been a little more difficult for him to get going this season. I expect him to really turn it on in the second half of the season. If Weis is hinting at something like that, I expect he knows something we don't. |

go georgia tech beat west virginia |

Here's hoping that Georgia Tech can beat the Chicago Bears this weekend - that would certainly boost Notre Dame's Sag ratings. Supposedly, the Bears are playing with Ditka as coach and their arms tied behind their back, but it will still be a tough test for the Stingers. |

Brad, I'm hoping you are right on with that post. Also, has anyone heard more about (after beating OSU tomorrow and 'da Bearsss' on Sunday) GT playing UF next Thursday night? I'm thinking that is the stingers win out, they may knock US out of any NC possibility. Of course, when they play Michigan on Nov.... |
"if the stingers win..." sorry! |
"south of here"!!!!!!!!!! Damn, must be the sun, heat, and proximity to CG (daU)!!! |

Is it a mini Ditka? |
No, It is a full-grown Ditka. |
They are giving away tickets to the BCS championship game at the BCS website, if anyone is interested. Here's the URL: |

I see T-Willy's team couldn't finish off their miracle comeback and knock Cal out of our hair. And Clemson had their way with GT. Nebraska couldn't beat Texas in a close one, and Auburn couldn't hold on against Tennessee. Sheesh, couldn't ANYBODY help us out this weekend? |
