It's amazing how well our defense can play if our coaches trust our players to make plays.

When we play conservative, with the "I hope I don't screw up" mentality, we stink.

When we play aggressive, with the "dictate the game" mentality, we win.

That being said, we shouldn't be the aggressor too much against the triple option. Navy will be a unique game in that regard. Against NC, I fully expect us to be back to bringin' the smack down, though.

Watching the series retrospective, I hope our current smaller, quicker LBs will position themselves better than 2002. Nothing's more depressing than watching a LB over-run a qb keeper that goes for a td.

Here's to an Irish win tomorrow. Don't run up the score (if there is an opportunity) and please, please put the game away in the third quarter. No more Cardiac arrests!!!!

Instead of Emmys or Peabodys for journalists, there should be foot wasn't in my mouth award. I think Herbsteit would do well, he doesn't jump off too many ledges.

99th in the nation in rushing yards. ouch.

The backup QB for Navy is terrible. He has no clue what he is doing. If they score more than 1 touchdown on us, it would be disappointing. If they had Hampton, I think this game could have been interesting. Without him, it will be a snooze fest. Irish should win by 4 Tds.

We better win by 4 scores. We need it badly. There is nothing worng with beating an opponent by a lot. The problem lies in having your 1st team in when up by a lot and continuing to go for the end zone. No excuse for that.

It's Pat Cowan, not Joe.

Oops. I guess I'm still thinking about his brother Joe's sweet moustache.

It looks like you haven't updated the FG kicking. I see 5/9 instead of 3/6. Not meaning to nitpick -- just thought you'd want to know.

Got it PM, thanks.
