How this moron continues to receive a paycheck is beyond me. Is this the best NBC can find? Are you kidding me? I don't condone violence, but someone should take him out back and beat some sense into him.

It (universal underdogs)is a great set-up for what is now an overdue "Notre Dame Moment." Keep in mind that they (NDMs) seldom happen when we are prohibitive favorites. The first truly great one was perhaps Rock and Dorais versus the omnipotent Army team. Probably the next Everest-like win (there were obviously 100s of Ws in between) was snapping OU's still-record win streak. That was almost 50 seasons ago. The Trojan Horse win was almost 30 years ago. I'm hoping that Herbstreit and Davie are right about us. Please God ... don't let this be USC, 31-6 at the half, with all those beautiful USC cheerleaders oozing sex and bliss into ABC's cameras. WE DON'T WANT us up 24-6 at the half, either! How about a 'moment' game in LA, "when the Fightin' Irish of Notre Dame would take no prisoners!" (with many, many shots of those USC cheerleaders oozing sex, as well as exhibiting their need to be comforted by real men, meaning, those women will need to....

Took my white, fancied haired poodle (Petey) in for a wash, fluff, and clip. Afterwards a nice walk down Rodeo Drive (BTW the “e” is pronounced short). He responded to the special treatment and disclosed the following:

1. Samardzija and Mcknight will be shutdown at all costs. It’s the #1 mission of the defense. Nothing long. Nothing over the middle. Let ND catch passes in the flats all day long.

2. Blitz, blitz, and more blitz to shake-up Quinn, it’s worked before, it’ll work again.

3. We will concede the run to the slow-footed Walker, our speed will tackle him from behind. (Our grass is cut short, but it won’t help him.)

4. We will concede the short pass to the untested tight end Freeman.

5. The USC defense will be looking for the screen and draw on every play.

6. My punter will not kick to Zbikowski.

7. Our place kicker is way better than yours.

8. The ND defense is exploitable, can be tricked and lulled into traps and fakes.

9. Our personnel concerns are Grimes, Prince, Aldridge, and West getting lucky on a kick-off return.

10. We are concerned about play calling by CW, that fourth down and punting is not sacred at ND, that all the game film we have watched is worthless, and that the Irish are hungrier that the Men of Troy.

For good measure, I drop-kicked Petey into some tall grass.

PhilB- Freeman is a fifth-year senior so I don't think that qualifies as being untested. He has played quite a bit of footbaw.

prolly has somthing to do with the fact that the 'university' in socal is just thinly veiled front for the football team whereas there might actually be some learning going on at most others. to be honest though, i wouldn't get much of an education either though if i could smell playmate mansion west from my dorm window...

Was anyone watching the halftime show yesterday during the Texas-Texas A&M game with the Three Amigos of ND Hatred, Saunders, Pony Boy, and May Day? Amongst the hatred for ND (Pony saying A$$man will outplay Brady) and MayDay saying it won't be as close as many people think, they did a piece where they eached talked about their favororite moments of the year. MayDay said one of his was ND's come back against UCLA.

WHAT?!?!?! WTF WAS THAT?!?!?! I couldn't f*cking believe it. Did the ghost of Rockne enter his body? For a moment, he actually appeared to respect ND.

I'm almost looking forward to watching him eat crow after we win as I am the game.

I've been wearing ND gear every day this week (including Thanksgiving Day) to bring the Irish good karma.

Quick keys to victory:

- Come out in 5-wide, no huddle to nuetralize their speed (like tOSU did to Michigan). Have BQ in 3-step drops, read the mismatch.

- MUST force some turnovers like we did at MSU- rip the ball out, hit A$$man from behind, etc.

- No big penalties (Holding that puts us in 1st and 20, wipe out big plays, etc.)

- Force 'SC to beat us by running the ball. I'm fine if Gable or Washington goes apesh*t and beat us, but DO NOT let Smith and Jarrett go for long TDs like Manningham did.

- Get off to a fast start; falling behind in the 1st will be a killer, particularly with the way Southern Cal plays in the 2nd half.
