Dr. White deserves kudos for his admin. of the revenue & non-revenue athletic teams at ND. As a subway alum of 55 years I will always hold "du lac" to a much higher standard. Thanks Dr. White. Thank you Blue Gray Sky.

Hell yeah, Irish Hockey! Too bad they weren't this good 3-4 years ago when I could enjoy their success as a student. The team was decent back then, but it's good to see them lighting up the #1 on top of Grace (Flanner?).

Congrats ND hockey.

FYI: ND vs. Ferris will be on comcast local on 2-24 @ 7pm.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Congratulations and keep it going.

Ohh...one more thing, how about a little upgrade on the facilities now?

Supposedly, they're going to be announcing it this spring. The last I'd heard, they were shooting for $15 million to fund it (compared with 25 for the south dome), and I have no idea how much of that has been raised.

I saw them last year. They were average to below average -- aainst Michigan - they sucked. I saw them twice this year - outstanding. Biggest turn around I have EVER seen.

Coaching, coaching, coaching!!!!

David Brown is the truth. You build a team from the net out. GO IRISH!!!

yeah this coach has success following him like a habit. and the first guess was right erik, it's Grace hall (and it's good to have it lit again).

Coaching, coaching, coaching!!!!

And a great freshman class.

If you have a picture of the "#1" light up, could someone post it? It would be cool to see...

I saw Alaska play the Sioux this year in GFK, they are pretty good, but they arent the Gophers or Badgers.

ND winning the CCHA is like Rutgers winning the Big East.

The Badgers aren't quite the Badgers either; they're 11-11-2 (6th) in the WCHA and 14-15-3 overall.

Sure, ND doesn't have the hockey pedigree that Minnesota or Wisconsin do. But neither one of them wants to play ND before the Frozen Four.

Can anyone here serve as a lead donor?

I have to say watching the Notre Dame hockey team this year has been pretty fun. They have a very good goalie in Brown and the ability to turn it on during a game. I went to a hockey school back east (#6 Clarkson) and got to see a lot of good teams in my tenure there who are in the ECAC. I would definitely say that Notre Dame can skate with the best of them. Now I am not sure just how dominate they would be. The problem with the schedule is the lack of nc games, with Notre Dame's Biggest win coming against BC. Normally this would be more than enough, but with an out of conference loss against Robert Morris, its easy to understand why we would not get the top seed in NCAA tournament. Also, the CCHA has not done oustanding this year outside of its own conference. It will be interesting to see the conference tournaments shake out as I feel this will be the big determinant in seeding the NCAA's. Hopefully at seasons end I can be heading down to St.Louis to see both of my teams in the Frozen Four

ND hockey had some good years in the 70's, too. The next time you're in the north dome, have a look at some of the All America plaques on the wall of the corridor under the fixed stands.

As things stand, we're set for a #1 regional seed (currently we sit as the #3 overall). We just need to keep winning; I wouldn't say we can really afford to drop more than one point before the CCHA semis, although we might be able to handle a three-game quarterfinal series.
