As far as SC horrors go, 38-0 was bad, but could anything really be worse than 4th-and-9? Matt '09 | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 12:10 am | #

Thanks, Matt '09. Not only do I get bombarded with the Bartman game this morning on Sportscenter (I know, I know, my fault for watching ESPN), but now you remind me of that terrible, awful moment of my life. Smooth Jimmy Apollo | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 1:45 am | #

Chef, we were outfought by Navy in every game of 'The Streak.' Our immense physical and talent advantages always let us win.
Last year, coaching played its hand as well. FightingGrandmoms | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 1:52 am | #

Why would you bring that up, Matt? I can think of 10 other super depressing things to say "it's as bad as" but I keep deleting them because I... don't want to depress people for no reason! Majnun | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 8:02 am | #

Anyone happen to see who the ESPN Gameday crew picked for our game and the Texas/TT games? I am guessing Corso played to the home team.
Thanks in advance!

Happy All Saints day to everybody.
Questions, I've got questions:
1. Is kickoff at 2:30 p.m. today? If so, why not 3:30 as the last couple of home games were. I'm confused. More confused than usual I guess would be more accurate.
2. How's the Pitt quarterback who got his neck injured last week? Will he start.
3. Coach Wanny of Pitt says he expects ND to throw perhaps 60 times today? Is he correct? Joe Subway | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 12:25 pm | #

On Gameday, everyone picked us. Bobby Knight and Corso picked TT. I guess Herbstreit is doing the game. John05 | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 12:35 pm | #

Thanks, John05!
Joe Sub, all I can do is confirm the 2:30ET start. No idea on the deviation.
If we *have* to throw 60 times today, I'll bet we wind up on the short end of the stick. Dave in the basement | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 1:04 pm | #

You know what, I was confused and thought the kickoff times started off being at 2:30 and later in the season changed to 3:30. Don't mind me, I'm in the throes of sugar withdrawal.
As for the horrors of the 2007 season, my analyst thinks I may have actually dreamed the whole thing up. He says there's no way Notre Dame could have been that bad. He's a strict Freudian, so he's particularly interested in people who follow "Our Mother", if you know what I mean. If you commit suicide you have to pay for the sessions you miss.
How is Pitt's run D? Will ND be able to run against it? Nothing sets up the pass like a running game.
I'm predicting a special teams TD for Golden Tate today. Joe Subway | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 1:47 pm | #

does anyone know if this game can be watched online? I'm picking up an open wireless connection in the stairwell of my apt building and just might set up a game-watch if possible :-) domer03nolongerinbmorenowinita | Email | Homepage | 11.01.08 - 2:02 pm | #
