I would honestly be satisfied with BQ going anywhere but Oakland or Detroit. Isn't Miami pretty happy with Joey Harrington, though?

Landri in the 6th or 7th? What are his negatives? Are people concerned about his size mostly? His quickness I think would make him a great candidate for any team, at least a 5th round project.

I hope DW gets picked up by a team that can use his multiple talents the way Philly threw so much to that one RB whose name I forget.

Good luck, Brady. You did a lot with what ND had.

Good luck, Brady. Comebacks (GT, MSU, UCLA) weren't so bad.

Happy trails, Brady. Hook up with a good team.

Hey, where'd all the rest of our sure-fire first rounders go that were rated so highly before the season?

Oh...

They play minor league baseball for the Cubs.

I thought I heard that Kiper & Co. at ESPN were putting Abiamiri down to later in the 2nd/early in the 3rd yesterday. I think he deserves to go earlier, so here's to proving the "experts" wrong.

As for Landri, his size is definitely the issue in the pros if he plays DT. Given the increase in speed at every position, including interior OL, most teams are going to figure his quickness won't necessarily translate as well to the NFL. Like they say, you can't teach size.

As a Bengals fan, I'm selfishly hoping Brady doesn't go to the Browns so I don't have to pull one of those "root for (insert former ND player) to have (insert great stats) but the Bengals still win" games. On the other hand, I want him to go as high as possible because he deserves it.

Good luck to all of the former Domers this Saturday and beyond. And here's hoping that over these next few years under Weis we get to see more and more of them going in the first round.

How much money do you suppose Rhema cost himself with his "hands of stone" performance in the Sugar Bowl?

In the end, the Notre Dame players get drafted low (or sign as free agents) and then they stick around the NFL for a decade because they are fundamentally sound, they work hard, and they're the smartest guys on the team.

And he is cursed to have arm troubles if he stays with the Cubs.

I remember Bob Davie talking about all the first round potential on ESPN a couple years ago during the game @ Purdue, and he said 4-5 first rounders. (Brady, Shark, Darius, maybe Fasano).

Going miss the dependable Brady. Hoping its not Det or Oak (but #1 overall would be awesome)

Brady is hottest quaterback in the world. I wish I could meet him and that he is drafted to the lions. They are a bad team but at least he'll be close to me.

Hell, I hope Brady gets drafted by the Lions too. With all of that offensive talent (numerous recievers), and the lack of quarterback, Quinn would fit in just nicely as a Lion. Of course, I'd love to see him go 1st (hey, theres still a chance), and I really don't want to see him in Cleveland because not even the Lord Jesus could line up under center and help that team. I think Detroit is the perfect place for Quinn, unfortunately, Im sure that the Lions will use their awesome draft picking strategy and will pick up a wide reciever

Brady Quinn? Why would we, the Detroit Lions, take Brady Quinn? Last time I checked, he didn't play wide reciever.

C'mon hundred to one odds! Hey, a guy can dream.

Brady Quinn will be drafted by Tampa Bay. I saw it in a dream. I have two more days to continue to believe I have powers . . .

For the last 10 years ND players have continually slid on Draft Day.

Here's to the Seal Team correcting that abomination!

Go ND.

I'll definitely be watching the guys listed to see how they do compared to what the pundits say.

Here's to Brady, and the rest of the guys, going someplace where they can make an impact, not get destroyed the first season, and most of all, win. I still say that I'd rather go 15th to a good team that just needs a few pieces than 1st to an abyss like Oakland or Detroit that will just suck the life out of you. Any money lost on draft day by Brady going lower will be made up 10-fold in endorsements when he's winning playoff games in 2 years, to be followed by a fat new contract. However, going to Oakland or Detroit or Cleveland, you run the risk of getting used and abused since the O-line can't protect you and your receivers can't catch, losing 10 games a year for three years before being labeled a "failure" and spending time as a backup somewhere else. If he goes to one of them, I pray he succeeds, but I pray harder that he gets a decent GM who gets him HELP and doesn't just hang him out to dry.

Go Brady. Float the rumor that you basket weave or crochet, or something, so you drop down to the Dolphins, or the Panthers, or the Chiefs, or some other team that has most of the pieces in place and just needs YOU.

I'm surprised Richardson's on the bubble. I still think he's one of the most underrated players on our team in recent memory and will be able to stick around in the NFL for a few years, if not work his way into a game.

anyone else see this nonsense earlier today?:

i mean, honestly. i'm all for making bold statements, but the level of inanity in this list makes mike freeman look like h.l. mencken.

al groh? chan gailey? joe tiller? really?

I can't believe that guy gets paid to do that. Just slap some numbers next to names and don't defend any of it.

Erik '04: Miami actually let Joey Harrington go and he has since signed the Dolphins trading for Trent Green, letting Duante Culpepper go and moving up to draft Brady Quinn for the future. As a Jets fan I'd hate to see Brady go to that $@*&% organization but it would probably be the perfect place for him.

As a Browns fan, I'd love to see Brady land in Cleveland. He would have some weapons to throw to with Winslow, Edwards and Jurevicius. They just better spend their next 3 picks on O-Linemen.

100 to 1 odds for Brady going to the Bears?

So you're saying there's a chance...

I'd love to see Quinn come to Detroit. The OL should be a little better, he'd have decent WR's to throw to, and provided Jones gets healthy, a semi-decent running game. He also wouldn't have to play immediately unless a disaster happened to Kitna. Kitna's a serviceable QB, durable, and a good teacher (he was the starter in Cinci before Palmer took over, and they still remain good friends even after Kitna was unceremoniously dumped).

But anyways, that's not going to happen. The defense needs too much help. MAYBE if they traded back with the Falcons and Quinn slid all the way to them, they'd take him, but I doubt it. There'd have to be a really odd set of circumstances for that to happen.
