That was a superb video.
What a great reprensentative of Our Lady's University.
That whole senior class was remarkable for it's abilities & humility.
If, by chance, he is less successful in the pros, it will never diminish his accomplishments at du Lac.

Buried in the 2003 SB Tribune article is this quote, which seems applicable now just as it was then....

"Any forward progress evident against Purdue can be credited to him because the redundant problems of a poor offensive line and a running game still learning to walk continued."

I can truly see a similar story line in the fall with any of our QBs-in-training. Because as easy as it is for all of us to understand the growing pains of a Brady Quinn, or a Jimmy Clausen, or Demetrious Jones, if we don't see improvement in our offensive line and running game, then we'll have no choice but to sit back and watch 40-50 plus pass attempt games this fall with an underwhelming receiver corps.

I understood the poor line play under Ty because the offensive line coaches were Denbrock and McDonell, who never amounted to much coaching-wise. With the comments of many who attended the blue-gold game that our O-Line needs work, I'm wondering about Latina. Sure, he only has Sully and Sam back with any experience. However, all the experts predicted great things with our 0-line last year with all of its All-Americans and veteran experience. That didn't translate into consistent, dominant line play.

Is Latina this fall going to be hearing the same whispers that Minter did last season? For now, it seems Latina's recruiting prowess has bought him some grace from Weis. But, if he can't teach these studs to become consistent 0-line players (and I'd like to see Sully become Jeff Faine, jr.) then at some point in time the focus should return on Latina's ability.

Joe Moore, wherefore art thou?

I can't believe that BQ didb't get picked in the first three.

I am not clairvoyant.

Nice title allusion.

I've thought the same thing Andy.
He had a reputation at ole Miss, but they have definitely underpermformed to be mildly critical.
Yeah, how many Joe Moore's are out there.

Wow. The stupidity of NFL GM's continuously amazes me. At least Brady should be going next to MIN.

Brady to Miami?

Now this is getting ridiculous. Brady is going to drop to 9th?!?

I like it. Nobody is gonna care he was drafted 9th when he is out there winning in Miami. Not a bad defense there. Get Ricky Williams back there running (he's gotta produce on the field because he's playing for his meals).

I keep thinking that Brady will be better off this deep into the draft in terms of the likehood of long term success. Look at Lienert. He doesn't appear any worse for the wear.

It's not that I think he won't be better off in terms of the team he goes to, but that I think Brady deserves better. This drop is costing the kid millions of dollars, partially because he decided to come back to ND last year.

JohnWA -- Last year Brady had to contend with Lienert (a former Heisman winner) and Young (a national champion QB), after having just lost to OSU. It was smart for him to stick around this year. Really, his only real competition this year was Troy Smith.
That is, until JaMarcus decided to come out early.

He'll make money in endorsements to take care of that. I'm glad he'll be going to a nice, marketable team in a well-known city.

Who buys Minnesota apparel anyway?

Good point.

oh, fudge....

$!#%!@#$%@!!!!!!!!!!!

He shoulda gone fishing

What were the odds on Brady to Chicago? Can I still get that 100-1 bet?

It's time for a bathroom break, Brady

LAst year Matt L. left the Green Room after things went to shit. Who is handling BQ? He needs to go have a cigarette.

wow.
im not totally sold on quinn but these teams (cleveland, minny, miami) better pray that he doesnt end up being a big-time NFL QB.

There's a reason Oakland, Minny, Miami, Cleveland, et al pick early every year. I loved Kiper's reaction. He seemed geniunely pissed at the Dolphins.

Hang in there Brady!

i mean this can't be all notre dame related can it?

if quinn's college helmet was painted blue instead of gold and said "Cal" on it, would he still be waiting?

Quinn to the Bears you heard it here

You know what? I blame USC. They lost to UCLA which sent the BCS matchups to shit. No LSU in the Sugar Bowl? No problem!

If I were the bears GM, "Slash & Burn for BQ, now!"

I'm always for blaming the $poiled Children for things. Damn you U$C!

Go Bears, trade up, get Brady!!!

For a silver lining, two DE's have been taken already. Good news for Victor.

Heck, at this rate Victor may go before Brady.

Don't let it be the Texans. More sacks than freakin' Kroger.

Packers @16 may be looking for a future Favre. Jags @17 may want consistency. Chiefs @23. Jets @ 25. Ravens @ 29. Bears @ 31.

Come on, (da) Bears, trade up if Houston doesn't take him at 10!

Wow...just wow. I thought Kiper was going to punch someone in the face

Packers would be alright. His brother-in-law is starting at LB.

Houston just got Matt Schaub so they won't spend the money on BQQB. Heck, I may become a Bears fan if they moved up to get Brady.

i think we could be here awhile.

it doesnt seem buffalo is interested despite having freakin losman at QB.
st. louis, carolina and pittsburgh dont need QB help...out of all three of those teams the only remote possibility is carolina but with all the $$$ they have invested in delhomme its unlikely.
next possible destination is jacksonville at #17...if not then theres no way he falls past KC at #23.

I just don't fuckin' believe this

Bears, trade! Bears, trade! Bears, trade!

Pleeze!

At this rate Clausen may get drafted before Brady...

How in the world do you take Ted Ginn ahead of BQ? Steve Young loves BQ, he is the steal of the draft now. I hope someone drafts him and he butchers the Browns and Dolphins. No wonder Miami is falling as a franchise.

I wonder if the Dolphins are rethinking right now. When the entire table of draft experts, including a HOF QB, talk more about how stupid you are for passing on BQQB than talking about your draft pick, maybe you screwed up.

As a Steelers fan, I was a little worried I'd have to root for the Browns if Brady got picked by them. Now it just looks like I have more reason to hate them.

JohnWA, no doubt they screwed up. BQ loved the Dolphins, Cameron loved BQ, well too bad for the Dolphins

Great. Brady doesn't get a job but he does get a private suite in which to sweat it out.

You would think that only an AFC team would trade with Da Bears.

I wonder what Charlie is thinking right now.

Probably not something you could put on tv with a lot of censoring

How much you want to bet CW is on the phone with Brady, followed by the coach/gm of every team that passed them up chewing their ass.

CW is thinking fewer top QB recruits will come.

i highly doubt this would affect CW's QB recruiting. if he can get a kid like crist to committ with claussen just one year ahead, then he can get anybody.

I hadn't thought of that point Anonymous. As a Bengals fan, Cleveland passing on BQ just means that I get to make fun of them when Palmer & Co. continue to crush them for the next decade.

Why would you make an idiotic statement like that. Has nothing to do with Charlie. 69TDs 14Ints in two years, it is some stupid team management

you really wonder how teams can be this stupid. people have jobs to do this kind of stuff? talk about a waste

Unbelievably no trades, anyone who wants BQ now feels that can get him without trading.

There's no incentive to trade up unless you are in the late 20's. No one else ahead of you needs a QB, so why bother.

Brady is a victim is circumstance. He could easily have been taken No. 1. Oakland needed a QB. Now, as for the rest of them, there appears to be a perception that working with the QB you got is better than breaking the bank and training a new one. Better the devil you know? Also, a lot of these teams are drafting for a need, not necessarily for the best available player. That being said, Miami are boneheads.

oh shut up mark may...i hate you

Mark May is such a prick.

there isn't really much excuse for the dolphins not taking brady. even if that green deal goes through, they can use him for a year to tutor brady. what makes it worse is that they took ginn, who is a late-teens pick at best. just a horrible pick.

Mark May is an utter, complete moron

Has there ever been an athlete who has been consistently, relentlessly, and unwarrantedly been crapped on more than Brady? This kid has gone through more adversity than I would ever wish on my worst enemy.

sweet, so now lynch passes ginn as the worst pick so far.

in any other draft, that dude is a 2nd round pick.

Mark May is a talking head. Accuracy issues? Mechanics? I thought the object of the game was to score points and Brady Quinn does that. Jim McMahon had no mechanics but the guy won games.

You know what its okay. I would rather Brady go somewhere that he can learn and grow for a year or two and come in and dominate after that on a team that can compete. I don't think there is much of a question why we see these teams with this high picks here every year.

Vince Young was said to have bad mechanics and due to his wonderlic everyone said he couldn't think in a game...look what happened. Oh and Mark May is an idiot.

What pick was Lienert last year?

I honestly don't think Brady will be drafted in the first round. I don't see it happening. Quinn to Lions in round 2. troy smith to Cleveland right after that.

10 i think, then cutler went 11.

Thanks.

no way quinn falls past the chiefs at 23. no....possible....way....period.

you don't think he will drafted in the first round? and you thank trow smith after that? can't say that i agree...mark may are you on here?

with the odds below...ONE dollar on Chicago!!!! One dollar on Chicago DAMNIT!!!!!

Chiefs would be a good fit. Run game+ O-Line=success.

I wanted him drafted #3. Mark May be damned, and this draft is going to shit!!! firetomcondon.com

I don't think he gets past Jags, Chiefs, Ravens. Too many QB-thin teams.

too many teams with faith in terrible young qbs

like tavarias jackson?

Can anyone knock his ability to read the D?

BRB. Pending a trade, he ain't going before 16. Drink 'em if you got 'em.

Anothe DE goes. Come on Victor!

wow - i never dreamed i'd be pully for quinn to go to KC. ill take your dollar to CHI - no way the ravens/chiefs pass him up

things might be looking good for my giants at 20. revis and inexplicably leon hall are still available...that being said, both of them will probably go within the next five picks.

Do you think New England would take him if he is available?

I'm hoping for late first round. Two reasons.

I. I don't care how much BQ makes or how much prestige his draft position comes with. I want to see him go to a team that can win.

II. I have to mow my lawn. My burn is still subsiding from the spring game, so missing the prime sun was a nice bonus. :)

uh-oh...brady a jet?
oh god please no. i dont want to have to hate him...

corner back, not quarter back

I want brady to go to the bears

I want Rex Grossman to leave da Bears.

Brady has gotten screwed. I havbe no idea how he fell out of the top 10. How the hell do the Dolphins pass on him for Ginn, who has not even performed anything significant since the opening kickoff against the gators. This is unbelievable.

I am so sick of heasring people say he didnt perform in big games. He was sacked 32 times last year and hurried I dont know how many times. Mark May says he loses his cool when th pressure is on, like against Michigan St. Georgia Tech and UCLA. He did nothing to lose either USC game, he got hammered against Michigan, Mark May needs to keep his mouth shut as does Sean Hamburger. I can't believe this, this is one kid who does not deserve all of this.

Packers maybe?

thank god, quinn to chiefs at 23 is looking like a real possibility unless someone trades up.

New prediction: Chicago swaps NE for 24 and gives them their 2nd round #4 to take Brady. does that sound plausible? +- 5th or 6th round either way

the only reason it doesnt sound plausible is that theyll have to get up to 22 to get quinn.

you really think KC is going to go into next season with damon huard as their starter?

Packers already have Rodgeers waiting the wings. Brady is not going to be a Packer. If he goest to Carolina, that should be interesting. They have a solid D, good run game, and Steve Smith to throw to all day long. That could be a potent offense, particularly if DeAngelo Williams stays healthy, too.

Packers. AJ Hawk and Brady Quinn.

I understand the Chicago tilt on here but really do you want him with that offense?? Grossman is the scapegoat for how badly they underperformed on offense. Besides, the kid did take the Bears to the SB in his full season as a starter.

Carolina would be a lot more interesting, IMO. But KC could be a good fit, but only if the Chiefs get some WRs to throw to. There is a reason why LJ lead the league in carries...they had terrible WR play.

No, I think KC will keep Green.

i dont think carolina is interested.
they just traded for carr to be their backup and have lots invested in delhomme.

green is like 60 years old.

dfjaldjflsdfjasdlfjadsljfasdldfjosdadjvpaeivmopoew ewfopiiweajfopijwoasijvosdijvsodfjaspofjasjfd

Green is still a damn capable QB. And he would be a good mentor for Brady, too, I think. Never thought about the Hawk-Quinn family connection, though. Then Laura could oly have to worry about wearing a GB jersery for the next decade or so.

What could Cleveland trade to get back into the first round again? If they did that what a coup for them. I dont know what the Browns would have to give up to get back into the first round.

i think mel kiper is gonna kill someone if quinn isn't selected soon

I can't imagine that Green Bay is going to make its selection based upon the fact that Brady is related, through marriage, to AJ Hawk. Unless the rumors about NFL GMs being clinically retarded are true.

$20,000,000 and counting.

Quinn wouldn't look good in the carolina jersey!

I hope if he kills someone, it's Keyshawn.

I usually don't like Mel Kiper, but this guy is jacked today lol

I cant believe how pissed Kiper is, I wonder if he likes Quinn or if it makes him look that badly.

the ratings are probably pretty high right now, though. They said that about Leinhart.

All ND fans are watching no doubt about that.

Poor kid.

I was not suggesting that they would ppick BQ based on the marriage. Somebody just mentioned it earlier in the comments. I think that they will keep Rodgers and Favre for this year. Jacksonville migt work cuz Leftwich is on his way out and I don't see Garrard being able to hold off Brady, maybe even this year.

im surprised leon hall hasnt gone yet.

Brady Quinn is getting a free pass to heaven for all of this.

I just don't fuckin' understand it.

I hate to say it, but Dallas??

Class act brady...you are a class act. good for you. you make us proud

BQ is being interviewed now on ESPN. He looks like he is shellshocked

Hall or Branch. I thought they'd both be gone by now. Maybe my Bears can trade up for Branch to replace Tank.

I think he took the situation and handled it very, very well. Suzy Kolber to go Namath on Quinn to cheer him up?

Brady just said to the effect that "I just haven't talked too much to many of the teams this far in the round."

Just goes to show that staying for the senior yr for star QBs is not worth it anymore.

i didnt see much of revis is college but im suprised he was taken in front of hall....and that the jets gave up their 1st, 2nd and 5th round picks to get him.

How long do teams get to wait between picks?? I can only guess that if GB has not picked yet, they are working on some sort of trade scenario.

15 minutes

15 minutes

Steve Young seems completely perplexed that Brady is still available

So is everyone else

that little kid doesnt know to cheer or boo! hahahaha

So how much time left does GB have?

Pack fans loved their pick, didn't they?

Except Mark "Moron" May

harrell ahead of branch??? WOW.
saw him as low as 32nd to the colts in most mock drafts.

that and the ginn pick are the two worst so far.

it's always a safe bet to boo your pick.

The Ginn pick is worse simply because QB is the bigger problem. But whatever. I think the best NFL QB ever went in the 3rd round, did he not??

NOT saying that BQ lasts that long, just saying it more to cheer myself up than anything else at this point.

i'd rather quinn go to cowboys. are fasano and julius still there?

No. Wade Phillips is a terrible coach. its funny how everyone forgot his short stay in buffalo

NFL Network had a show on the best draft day steals in the history of the the NFL. I hope they will soon update the program to move Brady Quinn up their with Joe Montana and Tom Brady.

yeah, they're both still in dallas

Midpoint of round 1 and BQ still there. You could have gotten 1000000 to odds on that

i dont want another ND player to go to dallas.

There is no doubt that Brady is the classiest of the draft picks. God Bless this kid, he has more poise than anyone I have seen. He takes responsibility for himself. The team who does draft him gets a gem that is for sure.

1000000 to 1 I meant

Mediocre coach at best, TERRIBLE postseason coach was the reason he got run out of Buffalo.

That and Rob Johnson.

i'm seriously not drunk enough. with that, i say goodbye!

Hard to say anything bad about guys like Patrick Willis, or Calvin Johnson. Brady is a classy kid, for sure, but let's not get too carried away.

lol rob johnson. Mr. bandana

please keep him out of jax. PLEASE!!!

how hideous would a quinn jaguars jersey look?

Brady Quinn is the classiest kid in the draft.

"I still think Rex Grossman can play...." Are you SERIOUS?

Jax has a D and Maurice Jones-Drew. That guy won my FFL playoffs.

BQ to the Bears. I'm done watching this draft. I'm getting a haircut and enjoying the bright Chicago sunshine!

Brady would look good with a C on his helmet. How important are late first round picks do you think? Could the Browns sneak back in with a great trade of draft picks and players to get back into the first round?

Cowboys still has the guy that muffed the kick. Why go for BQ? LOL!

I hate ESPN.

As a huge BQ fan and transplant from Chicago, Quinn to da Bears would be the only bright spot in this awful draft.

4th DE gone. Come on Victor. Rated between 4th and 6th DE in the draft.

JAX's trade with Denver might mean they want Quinn. They know that neither Denver, nor the other three teams now ahead of them (Tenn, Cincy, and NYG) are going to take a QB. If Quinn is their guy, smart move trading down.

I think KC is BQ's best shot now for the 1st round

So does the Bengals cap now come in black and white vertical stripes?

Here we go...

at least he'll be taken before the 6th round, unlike your boy.

Ignore the noise please.

You never know, the Fins might trade up to take Troy Smith. Sounds like common sense is lacking in South Beach anyway.

Will Troy be taken at all is the question? I mean, honestly, 14 yards passing from the Heisman winner???

The bigger slap in the face is probably the fact that there are three pictures of Brady Quinn (and only him) at the top of espn.com's "draftcast."

Gators are #1, hows trollin'?

BQ is going to a good team.

tOSU is righteous!!!!!! Where were you during the National Championship game?? I was worried about you, I thought you killed yourself. I couldn't find you on any boards to see what your feeling were about the game. Hey, where's your heisman winner gonna be drafted?

Ah, the sting of the NC finally wore off. You know, after the beating all OSU fans took after your loss due to people like you, one would think you'd be a little less aggressive. Man, real Buckeye fans must hate you, huh? Is that why you spend all your time here?

i really don't want brady getting anywhere near dallas

Dallas still has the chump that blew the snap. Why go for a real QB?

Who's the smart money on: Jags or Chiefs?

I'm just glad you finally came out of hiding tOSU. You sure were a lot of talk until your team got taken behind the woodshed for a good ol fashioned gator-size whoopin. Then you just hid and wasn't man enough to take all the criticism you had been dishing out.

Cleveland trades Charlie Frye to the Jags plus a future draft choice to get the Jags draft position then they take BQ

Guys, let TOSU go, please. I really, really don't want to read all of the crap about that program. Can we please stick to ND?

That's what self righteous idiots do, though, and nobody is more self righteous than OSU is righteous

Gators-iz-#1 is a GREAT punching bag! What better way, besides your favorite drink or girlfriend to relieve frustration and blinding stupidity (the draft and Gator-iz-#1)?

A Browns-Jags trade would be cool right about now. Although I always hated Jamal (drug-thug) Lewis.

the NY daily news blog says the browns are trying really hard to get back into the first round to possibly get brady.

NFL Network is reporting the same.

well what a coup for them if they do

Hey can we get your counselor tOSU. It only took you 4 months before you were able to show your face. That considered, you must have a heck of a counselor. By the way heisman winner 3rd round (earliest)

c'mon alan branch to the g-men.

Why would they try so hard? They obviously didn't want him at #3. They could have traded down to 15 or 16 and got him.
Whatever. Browns fan, ND fan here, and I've had enough of the draft today.
Peace.

This is a shame. Despite torching my team over his career, I'm rooting for Brady. The NFL needs classy guys like Brady. Hope he ends up in a good situation.

At least this has been some great publicity for his girlfriend.

Crunch time.

Call it: Jags straight up, Jags-Browns trade, Chiefs straight up?

Jags-Browns trade. Crennel has a lot of respect in Charlie and he really loved Quinn, not many chances to get the best O-Lineman and QB in the same round

Doug. I'm with you. If Cle can get a few more OL + Quinn, they will have done well.

they will have KILLED.

What an outstanding draft that would be for Cleveland

Forgive me if this should be self-evident, but is Keyshawn Johnson clinically retarded? I think he just said that Aaron Ross deserved to be picked #20 because he's a talented football player. How do we know he's talented? Because he was picked #20.

I think my head just exploded.

Well ... Miami made the mistake of the first round ...Huizenga backed off at the extra $10-11 mill (he's dismantled MLB teams for less) and then, to take a circus act on top of all that! Anyway, this is one of the last moments of our being down with the mortals ..and great inspiration for BQ to add an extra ring at the next level.

Go Irish

Robb,

You mean "Me-shawn," possession pu$$y?

That is true, Huzienga is a tight ass.He wont pay Ginn nearly what he would have paid Quinn

OK. Time to see how much the Jags want for a trade!

Could it be that Quinn goes in the second round?

Speaking of that mortals stuff ..think Urban isn't eating it up that his starting team has been drafted before BQ?

Go Irish

Too many QB-thin teams.

There goes my prediction. How about this, is there a lot of difference between the number 28-30 pick in the first round and a third pick in the second round?

Hey, on a positive note: wouldn't it be cool to see Julius and Brady on the same pro team, in the same backfield?

Only if it AIN'T in Dallas.

It's getting to be time...

Go Irish

well, maybe, but damn I dont want cheer for the Cowboys. He would be a fit in Dallas though

Bears or Lions. I really think those are the two teams that will take Quinn. If he goes to the bears, he has an opportunity to play in the super bowl next year. Lions, they get #1 player in draft and 1 of the top 2 qb's. I'm a Lions fan, so I wouldn't mind seeing that happen.

Chuck - you're right; picking BQ makes far too much sense for the Lions.

Go Irish

Could they trade a #2 second round pick for a #31 first round pick

Cleveland trading for Dallas' pick to get Brady

What about KC? Are they really gonna ride on the shoulders of Damon Huard for year(s)?

somehow cleveland or chicago is going to trade up for this pick right? no way jerry jones holds on to this pick

Brook, are you saying that as a predicition or a fact? It's not showing yet on draftcast.

Doug. I definitely think it's possible for the Lions to trade up a couple of spots to get quinn if they think the bears will take him. Same for the Brown too.

The Jags must have asked for WAY too much.

AS that was what was reported on NFL network before they broke to commercial. They speculated that Jerry Jones would take the offer which included Cleveland's (high) first round pick next year.

Would be soooooo wise for Cle to trade for Brady but ... the psychology of Draft Day is starting to take over. We see this notably every few years, unfortunately for us and our guy, it's hitting home today.

Go Irish

i really don't want to see Quinn in Dallas. He'd have to listen to T.O every time T.O. was open and Quinn didn't throw him the ball

Jones can trade this pick. If there is a trade for this pick, Brady is gone

I'd HATE to see Olsen (UM) picked before Brady.

Go Irish

quinn to the browns!!!

Congrats Brady. Good Luck in Cleveland

sweet, i like the look of a quinn browns jersey.

any chance he gets #3 money?

Finally!

Good luck Brady!

Go Irish

Crennel can keep his job.

YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hooray Quinn! That was quite an unfortunate ordeal, but hopefully this works out well. I'm slightly worried that the Browns will take on a Detroitesque management style of their program, totally bomb the next few years, Quinn is a helpless wash because of it, and we don't get to rub it in the faces of the 21 teams that passed on him.

But hopefully that won't happen.

Brady looks 34 years old.

I hate to have seen Brady go so low but you have to give props to the Browns. They got the best left tackle and the best QB. Here's to Quinn making the Dolphins & Raiders regret this day for years to come.

The Jags must have asked for WAY too much.

What they got a exta pick and who they wanted.

Charlie was likely talking to Crennel the past two hours.

Man I hope Brady sticks this to the Dolphins, Raiders, Vikings, etc. for the next decade.

Of course, I hope they lose every game against the Bengals, but that Brady has a great game at the same time so the tOSU fans can't blame it on him.

Great for the Brwons! Savage was smarter than Millen. If I am Millen I am making that trade with Calvin Johnson as my first pick

any chance he gets #3 money?

Um, no.

well, i had already sent my "i will never root for the browns again, i hope they never win a super bowl" text message to all my buds. looks like i'll have to repent.

getting my browns tickets asap.

$25,000,000 swing between 3rd and 22nd pick.

He will command a good salary....too bad the Browns didnt keep Faine

Man they gave up a lot for him.

It isn't often the an organization like Cleveland has a great strategy and luck come together.

The Browns look pretty smart from where I'm sitting. Remember that a QB from Pitt went 27th -- though the THEN Dolphins had the sense to draft him.

NOW - here's the reason Brady didn't go at # 9. WIOD (Miami) is doing a live from Davie (Dolphins HQ) today; when the Fins are set to announce their #1 pick, Jim (Meeechigan piece-of-c**p) says "For thisone time, I'm a Notre Dame fan." If I hadn't heard it, I wouldn't believe it. The rest, as they say...

Go Browns

Go Brady

Go Irish

Dion Sanders' interview was the best Brady interview to date.

1) I am now a browns fan

2) in 5 years or whenever his contract is up, he will get #3 money bc he will be a top quarterback by then.

i'm so happy....

kinda wish i didn't break my four iron this morning golfing when i heard the joe thomas pick.

Brady going to be hit like a Carr for a year or more.

To my last post:
Jim "Meechigan" Mandich. (POC)

Go Irish

hey tOSU is righteous. Go wash those gator wounds. You can join troy smith washing his wounds. If you're looking for him, you'll find him in the 4th round nursing his wounds. Look for the short QB no one's picked yet.

Not saying Brady wont pan out, but giving up a 2nd rounder and a top 3 pick next year is a bit much.

Well, I think the Browns will have the best draft this year. Even though they gave up their #1 next year...what QB would they take in 08? Seems like a good pick, although I would have rather seen him go to KC or the bears, someone with more OL. Maybe the browns will use the rest of their picks on OL this year.

Since you finally admitted you're an idiot, I'll leave you alone tOSU.

Dolphins close to signing, as even the idiot Mandich stated "a QB (Trent Green) with two years left." Now, if a Michigan man has enough sense to realize that, what could possibly be dum,,,?" Hmmmm..

Go Brady (drafted higher than our pair of Super Bowl "Ringmasters," both named Joe).

BTW -- has any OSU grad ever played in a Super Bowl, let alone won one?

Go Irish

Cleveland traded a #1 and a #2 to get Quinn. They wind up with 2 #1 picks this year. So, the only real cost is a #2 next year.....not a bad deal. I think they will have had the best 1st round in the draft.

I agree with you footbaw. 2 #1's especially since Quinn now has Winslow and Edwards to throw to.

Five DE's already taken. Victor Ambiamiri should be next.

the NY daily news blog says the browns are trying really hard to get back into the first round to possibly get brady.

Abiamiri should be taked mid 2 i think, then Harris I think 3rd, then Rhema(mid 3, early 4)and Darius (4).

Dan Marino was the 24th-26th pick in his draft, behind, Kelly, & a number of other QB's. He was the unquestionable star of that year & decade.
Just another reason for my loathing of anything nfl.
Good luck Brady, thanks for the classy memories.

There's a good reason the Lions and the Raiders are the worst franchises in football...We saw two/too more today...Of course next year, they'll be back to repeat their draft deftness.

Bill H,

Cooper's players have been to a couple.

Vrabel was on the Pats SB winning teams that were led by a Wolverine. Also, the Ref's Woodson Wolverine's tuck rule let the Pats go to their first Super bowl.

Eddie George for the Titans loss to Rams.

Now I want more OL and some sleeper WR's for the Browns.

Miami is starting to look a lot like Buffalo circa 2006. First year draft guy at the helm, suddenly realizing his board looks a little different than everyone else's. Ouch!

I don't follow the browns but it seems like the O line has been the knock on them. Here's hoping they come out strong. Will Brady be starting?

I checked out a Buckeye message board during the NC game and the guys there we're joking that tOSU was refusing to show his face - methinks he has a bad rep among his own kind. Best to ignore him.

ThE LoSt BoY - So, it seems that OSU has had players actually appear in the NFL's 'Big Game' - a number that p o s s i b l y matches the number of rings won by The Statesman? Very good.

Go Irish

I'm still smiling over the linkage of the Miami Dolphins 1st Round non-pick to the town their training headquarters is located in. Coincidence, or.....

Riddle-

What "wins" the Heisman Trophy and wont get drafted until the 4th+ round?

I can't wait until next spring. Carlson drafted in the first few hours and then we're done?

Riddle:
Whose the moron on a Notre Dame site when his favorite team just got blasted by the Florida Gators, not once but twice.
Notre Dame did get beat by the teams you mentioned, but last I checked teams win games not one player. When your heisman trophy winner gets picked just remember he will be at least 50 players behind BQ. He isn't better than Kevin Kolb (Philadelphia) Josh Beck (Miami) oops forgot to mention JaMarcus Russell and probably a handful of other QB's. Go back to your Ohio State message board and get the #@$! off ours

I meant Who's. It's been a long day for us true Notre Dame fans.

Harris to Denver is a good fit. They run a pretty quick (lighter OL) zone blocking scheme.

Rhema's gotta be kicking himself. "If I just didn't drop the easy ones . . ."

Hey tOSu is righteous,

hope that helps . . .

really wish cleveland hadn't traded away the rest of the draft on a suspect cb...

me - what are you referring to?

I like Harris to Denver too. I'm from Colorado so I'm biased, but for a lineman of Harris' build, Denver is great for him.
