your last point is a particularly good one. considering 3-9, this year's haul so far is fantastic. at least it seems that way to me.

its fantastic in 2 regards: first, its amazing to be able to get these recruits in given our dismal performance last year. Second, it seems that Charlie is sticking to a good game plan and recruiting based on need, not just best available.

on another note, check out the quote below, from the USC site conquest chronicles. it's their repsonse to recruit cierre woods comment from the other day; to beat SC 'every year" or something like that, when he comes on board.
1. their response is appropriate. no calling ND silly names or anything childish (wish Michigan fans would read this and learn something) but rather pointing out that Cierre should watch what he says.
2. ok, the kid shot his mouth off. i'm sure he'll learn. but that is precisely the kind of bravado the irish need after last year and arguably the last 14. good for him.

All I have to say about USC is how'd those 13 years from 1983 to 1995 go?

They can talk about paybacks, but they are still well in the hole.

Going to Vegas and winning $10,000 is nice, but when you are $100,000 in the hole, maybe you should "be careful of what you say because you've already been paid in spades and you don't want to make your beating worse."

Nah ND doesnt need 2 WRs this class just 1 if any.
ND needs more DL. La Lota has Notre Dame in his final 7. ND will get some DBs this class too.

We just need to ween two more offers away from La Lota and then he will have it down to five. That means we can get him to visit. I recommend stressing Academics, Fan Base, and TV Exposure. We have Elite levels in all three, and La Lota rates them Very High, Most, and High respectively. We could try to persuade that High into a Very High but his football icon is getting angry and it's not worth the risk of him hanging up the phone.

Nothing like Pete Carroll to openly decide NOT to use instant replay when he knows his Pac10 backpocket refs will cover for his coaching inadequacies.

Recruiting Talent has carried that coach far enough.

I want to see ND play with some Zorich caliber attitude this season.

Saw Martin on campus the week before he committed. Def. not 6'4", since I'm barely that and I was a good 1-2" taller. Goes without saying, though, that he is one thick man -- certainly had a good deal more mass than my skinny bones.

Also, saw Mike Floyd going into the dining hall. Seemed like he was limping a bit, I dunno. Hopefully that was me just being paranoid. We need him to play big in the fall.
