Excellent news!
I hate to go off topic, but I absolutely had to share this video. Is CW aware of this kid?

Desirable Number One, with a note attached "To be punishing."

Wow. Way to bring these guys in, Coach Weis and Coach Brown. It would be amazing if we were still the number one class come February. I'm sure that will all depend on what SC does.

Ok... I'll take two Sams (Adams), a Jack (w/ coke) and, for my wife, a Mike (Hard Cranberry).

What about Bob?

This class could include up to 26 scholarships. This would mean no current seniors to be invited back for a 5th year. i.e. Crum, Lambert, Vernaglia(sp),etc. It would put CW & ND at a limit of 15 for the '09 class*.
I don't know if this is a positive or negative, specifically regarding the aforementioned players, who have contributed so much in time,& effort.
* barring transfers.

I think one of the LB positions should be called "Nancy". Who knows, perhaps it could have an effect like "Boy Named Sue"?

If Naperville and Joliet can be considered part of suburban Chicago, I guess Woodstock could, too.

The Metra has a stop in Woodstock so, yea, it's a suburb. However, it's kinda out there.

The Chicago newspapers include Woodstock-area players in their All-Area teams, so why not say it's a Chicago suburb in this context?

Naperville is definitely a suburb, but what about Aurora?

Naperville is a sub-continent.

Are you guys kidding me? Many people I know consider Kenosha to be a suburb of Chicago. Although these are Chicagoans. Aurora and Naperville are definitely suburbs, unless you consider exurb a word.

However, Cicero is definitely it's own city.

Can I ask a stupid question? In the 3-4 do we have an inside LB, two outside LBs, and a 'strongside' LB who lines up opposite the TE? Am I completely missing the point? Also, the weakside LB should definitely be called 'Nancy.'

HAH

love the article, but also love the Harry Potter referenced title.

Welcome aboard, Steven Filer!

Go Irish

Pats terminology? Bah!! I prefer Jets terminology given that's where CoB came from and where Groh and Mangini were HC of the NYJ while Bellechick was the AHC of the NYJ. :)

As for Filer, welcome aboard and now lets get the season started already!

The kid in that video is so good it's silly.

Woodstock is about an hour and twenty minutes away from Chicago. Its geographically closer to the Illinois-Wisconsin border than Chicago. Thats fringe territory for "suburb" status in my book.

Filer, in his interview on the recent power hour, mentions that the coaches spoke to him about playing "Jack". This seems to suggest that Weis will use the Patriots terminology.

1. Didn't the Ravens switch to the 4-3?

2. Will ND be running a true "NFL style" two-gap 3-4 or something closer to what Southern Cal ran most of the time last year - basically a one-gap 4-3 defense with the smaller rush end standing up and "pretending" to be a linebacker?
