Samardzija is throwing this game...

Wow. Magical.

...I don't understand the mentality of the south bend police and the "excise agents"...jeeze...don't they have anything better to do?...reminds one of Mississippi in the '60s....

cocoon reference .... Beautiful
Especialy like the Penn state bit.
Gold, absolute gold

A beauty, Jay. After all is said and done the guy is a hell of a coach. We should fear him on Saturday. God's speed.

Just thought I'd point out that it's Purdue Pete, not Boilermaker Pete.

Other than that...wow.

JT: Well, that's not important. What's important is when we get where we're going, we won't be sick, we won't get any older...and we won't ever die.

BP: You're going to Penn State?

JT: (softly) No...no.

Rofl. That made my day, sorta.

Either I just turned 88 or I'm back to my youth because I just had the sudden urge for some Quaker Oats. Not sure why...

"Walker told me I have AIDS."

That picture is awesome! Well done, Jay.

I understand Joe is going back to hawking health insurance and blood glucose meters on TV to the unsuspecting elderly and watching reruns of The Natural.

Just a couple of comments about Tiller from a PU student that loves the Irish, and these stories are from someone within the program...

Tiller is done, as you all should know. During practice before the season, Tiller would ride around on a golf cart during practice because he had knee surgery. One day, Tiller fell asleep not once, but twice, during practice. The injured RB, Taylor, was sitting beside him and asked him why he fell asleep and Tiller said it was because of his Benadryl. I guess Joe does not know that they make non-drowsy Benadryl, or that he doesn't care to watch his team practice in his last year, or they just suck so bad that he falls asleep.

Tiller exhibited horrendous time management and strategy against Oregon. With a drive going strong into the final minute of the game, he decided to sit on the ball and have their kicker attempt a 45 yd+ FG into a gusty win. The kick was horrible, but the point is they were carving OU's D on the crive and could have gotten 10-20 yds closer.

As for Purdue football, they suck. If we don't beat them, I may consider some form of self mutilation. I've been wearing my ND stuff all week and getting crap for it. Painter is terrible this year. If ND dials up the intensity on blitzing Painter will be on his butt all day, b/c their line is as bad as ours, except they can run block...

I'd go on but I'm gonna be late for class...

GO IRISH and CRANK ME UP!!!!

That post makes the monthly subscription fee totally worth it. Jay said its going to go up to $12 next year, but I guess I can scrape it together. Are the checks still going to your personal account Jay, or is BGS getting its own bank account?

FYI, ND grad and NY Giants player & announcer Dick Lynch died Wednesday.

Man, now I'm suddenly worried about catchin' the diabeetus

Crank me up (some M.O.E.)!

The M.O.E. and specifically M.O.E. differential in our first three games is pretty telling.

SDSU - 14%
ND - 10%
Diff - 4% (ND)

UM - 15%
ND - 8%
Diff - 7% (ND)

MSU - 6%
ND - 12%
Diff - 6% (MSU)

MSU may not be a great team, but if they play mistake-free football like they did against us they are going to win a lot of games. Teams that can shut down Ringer and force MSU to throw have a better shot at winning the M.O.E. battle because with more pass attempts by Hoyer there will likely be more sacks, more drops, and more interceptions.

If we can eliminate some of our mistakes we will win most of the games we should win this year. The best way to eliminate those mistakes is to play to our strengths (like MSU does). I hope Charlie figures out what those are, and quickly.

Also, "reminds you of Mississippi in the 60s"??????? Maybe you were being sarcastic, if so well played. If not, wow.
