Actually, Zorich was just pissed about Kellar's muddled Francais, confusing cache and cachet.

Ha! Well-put, indy - that was driving me up the wall. I'm glad someone else is as anal as I am regarding misused words . . .

sacrebleu!

Congrats Zorro!

Indy, how did things go for you (thesis)?

Back to the piece on CW: again, you feel the momentum of where we are today, and where we are surging to, versus the rancor and big questions of just a few dozen months ago.

I'm still concerned about ST's.

According to one article in the Google link, Charlie will let the players know by May 30 who the top 2 QBs are. Based on what he said previously, it should only be a matter of days after that when the public knows. That was the first time I had seen an exact date.
When does the team begin practice again?

Good catch Gabe.

Gongrats to Chris, he is one hell of a person. Ahhh, the days of football before "Street Cred."

I sure would like to see Ian Williams be a 3 year starter and help compile a 33-4 record.

Bill, my profs looked at me funny when I told them 'the student has the master's now!' using fake-bad-dubbing face contortions, but fortunately they still let me graduate.

I think it was the ND-PSU game that was televised by CBS with Jim Nantz doing the play by play and Pat Haden the color. They had just announced Coaches All-American first team and Zorich was not on it. Haden, uncharacteristically, was very passionately critical saying that ND had played the toughest schedule the last two years and Zorich dominated in nearly every game... show me a DL that played against the same competition and demonstrated the tenacity and domination that Zorich had. Pat implied it was a joke but in his style he would not be that bold. To this day I always have held Haden in esteem as a supporter of ND football. Zorich had a motor that never stopped and as Jay said was the fulcrum of the defense that the other players fed off.

I can only speculate what Charlie told Chris to temper his anger toward ND for firing Willingham. I would have loved to hear that conversation first hand.

Zorich, a really decent human being.

Have we located the one person on Earth who was upset that Willingham was let go?

Indy - glad to hear the news, good going, and..

Just wanted to let everyone know... I am from Swoyersville, PA which is 5 mins away from Wilkes-Barre... but the sports reporter who wrote that article, Jerry Kellar... had passed away in his sleep yesterday... RIP

Being from Northeast PA, I got to read a lot of Jerry Kellar's stuff about Penn State football, even though I'm an ND fan. He was a great sports writer. Not just of PSU or other national issues, but of local high school sports as well. He was a man who cared about sports and loved his job. He will be sorely missed.
