Yup.

That's why I click here as often as possible which is too many times in some eyes but none of them are Irish.

Utterly fantastic

Awesome. Needs a few more "Ok"s to truly capture the Willingham essence

As of yesterday there were still tix available for the game. Husky faithful have been leaving games at halftime in disgust. I hope that happens again on Sat - hopefully then I can move up to some better seats. Go Irish!!

The mold is growing on the molder of men.

I wonder if he's having trouble identifying his own team during the game, since he's probably forgotten what a 'W' looks like, and that's what's on their helmets.

Illingham: the sickened pigskin.

Classic. And if you ask Ty, the "W" on Washington helmets stands for "Willingham".

...a picture worth a 1,000,000 words...

Ahh, kicking someone when they're down. Hopefully our team is the one who does the kicking on Saturday. Ass kicking that is. Someday ND will finally be out of the shadow of TW's golf cart, and that will be a happy day.

illingham; how perfect. That is to say, Ty without any wins.

That microwave popcorn post is so funny.

I've got to stop reading this in the office, as it causes me to become a distraction. Man that's funny.

I don't know how many people saw this when it was first posted, but I don't know a better time for us all to watch a hilarious video of Washington players imitating their coach:

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/ mo...21_moore28.html

I think the first guy is the best...he definitely got the hand gestures right. But the scene when Willingham runs by right as another player is getting ready to do his imitation is priceless.

I'm bringing a bunch of 16 penny nails and a hammer.

I trust we can close up the coffin on this guy this weekend and be done with it.

Hate to say it, UW... But, we told you this would be your fate.

Im at school when I read this my teacher laughed his assed off.

Most excellent BGS!! Thanks for adding a little levity as difficult weekend in washington looms.

Very, very good.

Okay, I know my brain is somewhat fried from staring at a computer screen all day, but I've found the Seattle Trib article in which MOM (molder of men) provides the popcorn quote, and I still gotta ask: what the hell does that mean? Fast and easy? A 50-50 proposition (thinking of the un-popped kernels)? Getting paid millions of dollars from each of two distinct educational institutions at the same time? (I'm pretty sure you can get all the boy scout popcorn tins you want when you roll it in that deep.) I'm just sayin' - I don't quite get it.

If I could shift gears from one sour topic to another:

What ever happened to the Reggie Bush investigation?

I mean, I never expected U$C would ever face any disciplinary action, but I haven't heard anything about it since last winter. You would think the NCAA would issue a statement one way or another, even if it's just "We have found no evidence...blah blah blah...U$C is an exemplary program in college football."

Did I miss something, or is this just basically one big NCAA cover-up?

Matt '09 - latest is Bush has changed lawyers and is now using someone who formerly represented OJ Simpson. It's the Trojan way, I guess.

Freakin' awesome. Well done sir!

I’m here to tell you, I’ve caddied for Ty many, many times and he would never, never ask for a wedge from a 109 yards out.
9 iron yes, maybe even an 8 if the wind off Lake Michigan was strong.

That guy has forgotten more about golf than any of you know about footbawl.
I expect to be caddying for him full time come end of November.

Thanks!

The pep talk paragraph is the best from this blog all season.

LMAO!

So I'm packing for my ND vs UW trip and I decide to check in on BGS. Thank you, Thank you so much for sending me to the game with such a great post. I fly out tomorrow AM and I'm sure I'll still be giggling. Since it's the only game I'm going to see live this year I'm going to leave it all out there on the field...hopefully our players do the same. ND 45- UW 17

Lets kick washington ass and exorcise college football of paint dry Ty. Next project: figure out how to rid TV of Boob Davie

Maybe the best post I've read all season. Well. Played.

Hilarious! This, coupled with the impersonations, is great stuff.

On another note, did you read about our new kicker? Hope the kid gets a chance because we're so far ahead on Saturday!

Wow. That was hilarious, I seriously lol'd.

Seriously Brian, I think it would be a gap wedge from 109......although Ty would probably choose a sand wedge and come up short.

Yeah, you can tell I'm not a golfer. I just like the phrase "48-degree lofted wedge".

i cant wait to witness his ineptitude in person. i never made it to one of the games while he was at ND, but i just scored the trifecta of tickets, cheap hotel 3 blocks from UW, and airfare under $150. needless to say, yesterday was hectic putting that all together but it will be so worth it to see the last tiny bit of hope vanish from willingham's tenure.

Seeing as this week's game is against Washington it seems apt to take a moment to reflect on and remember Montana Mazurkiewicz's "Pass Right" play call. Stories like these are what make Notre Dame Football special and what makes Charlie the right guy for the job -- something else to remember when media-types begin to rehash the "racist" and "unwarranted" firing of Tyrone Willingham.

Oh man, Jake. Now the people in my office are going to think I'm a big sap. Fortunately most of them are at lunch right now. I defy anyone to watch that clip and not "get something in their eye." :)

I ain't watching it again this year. Cried like a little girl yesterday watching it. God bless his soul and family.

That was friggin hilarious. An instant classic.

Jake -

Thanks for posting that. While I'm yet to be much of a believer in CW, he did compose a moment that is uniquely Notre Dame.

God Bless our little friend Montana, and let's Go Irish!

I had lunch with my old boss yesterday and got our tix for the game today. He's a big UW alum and told me I'd be shocked at how inept they are this year: Penalty on the kickoff last week, half the distance to their own goal line, and delay of game on the their first play. He said they'd be dogs to Skyline High.

Sorry, that was last year. Here's Skyline this year: 337 pt. for, 14 against.
