oh dear, i know how rotten and nak mati it feels when your pet die.
what i usually do is i criy until i can't cry anymore. but am sure, PP Boy had a very meaningful life by having u as his mama.
oh the nak mati feeling is exactly how i feel. plus guilt overload for being a horrible pet owner.
later i have to go to the vet to pick up his body. i dunno how i am going to deal with it. i'm already crying senyap2 in the office.

Oh dear. I remember you PP Boy. I'm so sorry to hear that you're gone... I feel very sad for your owner. It's very heartbreaking to lost a furkid.

my condolences.
i had a dwarf hamster that fell from a damn high stairs landing to the next floor T_____T it seemed fine when we picked it up, but died a few days later T_____T i felt like shit also because i thought i scared him into jumping off the landing. i saw him running about and i was so worried he would jump off, so i walked towards him and he took one look at me and went over ((((( my brother, so smart, let the hamsters out to roam about on the first floor when the cage was being cleaned. urgh!

And I know the first hamster is always the dearest.
*sniffs* May PP Boy rests in peace. Just think that he's in a much better place now.
Other than losing a family member or a loved one, nothing hurts more in this life than losing a beloved pet. I feel for you, tiff.
BTW, you're not a rotten parent,t he way you blogged about your PP boy shows just how much you cared for the little guy. So go easy on yourself, ok?
i'm actually tearing up while writing this. i'm so sory to have read abt this so late. i know how it feels and no words at the moment can be said to make you feel better abt this.
i've dropped my pet hamsters a few times also and felt guilty abt it. now i wonder if some of them died because they broke their back or cracked smtg...i know i'll be thinking abt it tonight before i sleep...
my condolences...for both PP and your grandpa. i'm sure they're taking care of each other in heaven. 
hmm, come to think of it, my grandfather was an animal lover. prior to his demise, he was owner of a vicious cat and numerous guinea pigs. actually the guinea pigs belong to my aunty, but my grandfather was the one took care of them.
hamsters are so fragile. i was wondering whether keeping a syrian would be better than keeping a dwarf hamster. are syrians built tougher than dwarves?

beloved pets shouldn't have to die... they should be able to live as long as their owners do... and die when their owners die.
I am shocked to learn of PPboy's death. I just found out. It's been awhile. Truly sorry about your lost. I felt like crying because I know how much you adore him like your younger brother. It must be really really painful, especially when you know it could have been avoided. Not trying to rub salt into the wound here. Hvg said that ppboy's old and yeah, probably the bone isn't that strong anymore?
The worst part is having to bury him and knowing that this is it, you won't get to see him every again. No more that twitching on the nose, running on the wheel, holding the food in both hands. All that's left is memory.
So sad.

yes it's really sad. i was terribly distraught at that time. so many "if only..." kept going through my mind. at that point i was willing to trade one year of my life so that pp boy could live longer.
he's like a son to me. he was very much loved by my family and even by my grandmother. pets have a way of capturing your heart and never giving it back.
