short of sending to him to expensive doggie obedience classes, a choke chain is prolly the cheapest, most effective method of getting a dog to heel properly.
he won't be using a harness because it's too comfortable and it allows the dog to tug more. i don't think i control him in a harness.

Does he have lots of chewie doggy toys to chew on? This might calm him down slightly if he uses a lot of his chewing energy on them rather than people.
he's got aggression problems long before he came to stay with us. his previous owner was never around much to spend time with him, so bobby was pretty much left alone on his own. he's got so many mental kinks and bad habits like you wouldn't believe.
