Gravatar Hmm, looks like your mother instinct is kicking in.

Well at least PP boy is still eating, and that's a good sign.

Stay cool...

Gravatar PP is lucky to have such a caring and protective mother like you. hey, cheer up! Hopefully he'll be alright soon. hmmm..i may not be an animal lover but at this point, I do feel sorry for PP boy. Eh, he's my god son remember???? *wink*

as of last night, he's fine. no more diarrhea and he's slowly gaining back his appetite. poor thing lost a fair bit of weight during the ordeal.

Gravatar so ppboy not dying?? XD

your hamster too funny lah...go pop his own boil pulak. i've been terrorising a senior's hamster babies cos they're too cute...wanna curi them now. the other day i play with them, they so nice...today i go back, they wanna bite me... =.="

rule #1 of hamster handling: always wash your hands first.

Gravatar hope he'd get better soon

Gravatar relax, hope ur hamster is ok n recovers fast, all da best!

thank you. he's fine now.

Gravatar do you feel like a so much more responsible person?

:P

i've always been a responsible person ok.

Gravatar sounds like u're having a 'mother' moment. glad things are looking up though... relax...breathing is a must ok?

was more like hyperventilating back then. and every moment involving my hamster is a 'mother' moment. hahahahahaha.

Gravatar Thankfully he's feeling better now.

yes. absolutely

Gravatar hehehe

Gravatar wow... wicked!

I'm glad your boy is fine.

Antibiotic causing diarrhoea? Erm, not sure about that. He wasn't that well to begin with and boil can cause septicemia that leads to diarrhoea.

Don't be upset with the vet though, there's a lot of other side effects that are often left unmentioned, even by our regular GPs. Partly because the benefits outweigh the risk, and besides the risks are minimal and we rarely see them. BY the time the client is educated of all the side effects of drugs, he might be too freaked out to use them for treatment anymore. =p

i'm not blaming the vet.. i just wished that he had told me about the possible side effects of antibiotics, or something to that extent.

sometimes i think nursing an unwell pet is alot harder than nursing a sick kid. at least, i think so.
