Our dogs eat raw chicken wings in the morning. At night they can get anything from rice with beef, omelette, vegies to dry dog biscuits.
As I was reading I was going to suggest maybe soaking her kibble in milk or something, but seems like the raw meet diet might be best for her.
nooooooo she's a girl! scrap the "other".
i don't want to feed her kibble anymore. she likes milk, but because she doesn't drink enough plain water, i'm worried that overconsumption of milk will lead to her getting kidney stones.

I've never heard of prey model diet. BARF ada la... thought of giving Chester that last time but he's a big dog, will eat a lot and will give more damage to the wallet. Besides I'm lazy to prepare those kind of meals.
Eh I never realized about kibbles never going soft after weeks and no ant one... wahlau... scary!!!
it's true about kibbles not going soft after being exposed to air. you know the first time i bought a 15kg bag of kibble for bobby, i was so worried about it going soft because i don't have enough airtight containers to store that much kibble. but hor, in the end i left the bag open for around 2 months plus, and the kibble still remained hard.
i've got 1/3 bag of innova evo at home. i opened it a week before christmas and until now the kibble have yet to go soft.
barf diet is troublesome. prey model diet is easy as hell. just throw raw meat to the dogs. and dogs actually need less food if they're eating raw because the nutritional value in raw food is alot higher than that of processed food.
Used to feed my daschunds table scraps during the week supplemented with a nice juicy bone on the weekends. Worked out quite well.

Do you give them bone too? I've never give Chester before. Hahaha I know poor him. Once when I was at the vet with Chester, we met a dog who couldn't poo... vet said he ate too many bones.
dog's stomach can handle much higher levels of bacteria than we can because the acid in dog's tummy is much stronger. that's why they can digest bones. you see those dogs, bury the bone in the ground then few days later dig it up to eat... they never get food poisoning 
yes, i give my dogs raw bones too. excellent source of calcium. if you feed your dog raw, you don't have to give them greenies or brush their teeth anymore.
haha poor dog, but you know it takes ALOT of bones to make a dog constipated? prey model diet dictates that:
raw meat: 80%
raw bones: 10%
organs (liver, kidneys, lungs): 10%
unlike barf diet, prey model don't advocate feeding highly bony parts of animals as a main meal... like chicken necks or wings, because the meat to bone ratio is something 50:50... you need to aim for a ration like 80:20.

i think i want to start cookie on a raw diet already. her teeth are atrocious and nothing i give her (greenies etc) help at all!
my sis and i suckered my dad into expressing brandy's anal glands. it's a pretty thankless job.
actually greenies and all those dental chews do little to clean dogs' teeth. i read that somewhere online. it's the equivalent of us chewing gum or eating sweets to clean our teeth.
haha i don't think your mum will be comfortable feeding the dog raw meat. i know my mum didn't quite like it. it can be a little messy if your dog is not used to eating in one place. it's best if you can confine her to a small, newspaper-covered area. start her on raw chicken breast and you can progress from there... good luck!
what i'm concerned about is how cookie's sensitive tummy is going to take raw meat though. will give her small amounts and see how it goes. my mum, as expected was less than enthusiastic when i suggested the idea...
btw, don't feed raw + kibble together. either feed one in the morning and the other at night. reason being kibble takes longer to digest while raw food is faster, so if you feed together, your dog's tummy might not be able to take it.
if you gelik about feeding raw, you can pour a little hot water over the meat just to give it a slightly cooked appearance.
Man, your new doggie eats way better than most people I know. Such prima donna. haha. :-D
which is why i technically prefer mongrels compared to purebred pooches.
