I do remember reading about that. The Danes were some of the few to stand up to Hitler. Now they're standing up to Islamic terror.

The Danes are direct descendants of the vikings - we all are, but our gene pool is probably a little more watered down than theirs! So I shouldn't come as a huge surprise that they don't shrink from conflict and controversy.

An excellent book about the Danes' courage in the face of Nazti repression and their role in smuggling the Jews of Denmark to Sweden (a neutral country for the duration of the war) is "A night of Watching" by Elliot Arnold.
