Well, I always thought Dreyfuss WAS Canadian. He didn't seem like an American to me - too whiny and wimpy. But what do I know - I'm just a damn foreigner.

It never ceases to amaze me at the stupdity of people of name and reputation to decide to fight for a cause that only the few endorse. Some days while I read these blogs and the information I glean from them ...it appears it is more than one's stomach and sanity can take.
Thank you for writing this.

Hey 2nd Twin - long time I know what you mean. Sometimes I step away because it gets too intense. There is so much information - maybe too much.
Hey Pat - I don't think he's Canadian - although they should make him a citizen there. He just lived there long enough to not have to go to Vietnam.
Oh - I'm sorry - I mean, he lived there to protest the illegal and unjust war and didn't want to live in a country that would do that at that time.
He got over his disgust with the USA as soon as Pres Carter gave amnisty to the draft dodgers who had gone to Canada.
But it had nothing to do with him being too afraid to fight for the country.
