If you will change "mandatory" to "compulsory" and "military" to "national" ... with a "military" form of boot camp front-ending any form of national service, I'll say "Amen" ...

hmmmm.... I don't see a problem with that. As long as there is the 'military' form of boot camp at the front-end (discipline is an essential element in this scenario) - and there is some needed service to the country.
I know there are some who are not suited to the military, but could serve in another way.

This topic is a htopoint for both sides of the discussion. The only issue I have in regards ot his guy is the issue of freedom of speech and expression.
