Dear Governor Huckabee,
Ours are serious questions and we hope you will provide serious responses. When you say, as you did the other night at the candidates debate, that you do not believe in evolution, what is it precisely that you do not believe in? You you mean that all species were separately and immutably created in the forms they now possess? Do you mean you do not believe in Charles Darwin's theory of evolution? Do you believe in intelligent design? If so, does your belief in intelligent design preclude the possibility of evolution?
we feel that these are important questions for a presidential candidate like yourself with a strong agenda for educational reform and improvement. We hope that your reply to our questions will not simply be a form letter.
