I have to confess; I'd been extremely put off by your campaign. How is it any candidate can say exactly what I want to hear, handle situations in the exact manner I would hope for from a culpable leader, and seem to have the right history of decisions to back him up? Mr. Mike Huckabee has managed to blow the truism "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is" right out of the water.
I'm surprised my hopes for the Republican party to get away from 'business as usual' are rekindled, thanks to the presense of Mike Huckabees' campaign. Go, Mike!

Hi-
Maybe I am the 500,000th visitor. I just thought it would be nice to put together some type of what the real issues and real solutions are in an organized manner. I do not know if there is a staff researcher in the Huckabee campaign to look at that possibility.
For instance, in Los Angeles and Southern California
everyone is talking about real estate foreclosures, but no one is mentioning the obvious to me.
The reason people in San Bernadino (a long commute from the jobs) are foreclosing in droves is that GAS is ridiculous. They moved far away in order to have a home at an affordable price and then gas doubled and now when you drive 2 hours a day or more it is too expensive.
The other reason, we do not have any limits in California as to what the credit card companies can charge us, some other states do. So as soon as someone has to scrape to find enough for gas,
then they go into credit cards and get over their limit, the rates go from 12% to 33% and the whole house of cards falls over. Many many southern Californians are living on the edge, not able to afford the gas and rising prices and homes and the credit industry all around is getting nasty. I am not suggesting bailouts, but someone needs to look at Usury Laws.

I have been observing Mike Huckabee's campaign with great interest. I would like to know how closely he believes in the Rick Warren philosphy and in what ways he differs. I know Rick Warren has had both Clinton and Obama as speakers at his church. Mike Huckabee is SO different from these two on most issues so I would like to know where he stands on his biblical prospectives as it pertains to Rick Warrens, since all three of these candidates have been welcomed into The Warren church and Clinton and Obama hold very unbiblical positions on many topics critical to both Christians and the Republican platform.

Congratulations to a fellow member of what I like to call the "Asterisk Club". That means we were both Mike supporters when he was just an asterisk in the polls. I like to brag that I signed on for Mike in Dec 2006, but my bragging rights pale compared to someone who committed in 2005!
This has been a great blog and always a pleasure to read. Now let's finish the job and defeat the Architect of Amnesty (McCain); the Stepford Candidate (Romney); and Rudy (have not come up with a nickname for him yet) and take the White House for ALL Americans! Hoping I'm #500,000 Bryan

AS A REAGAN REPUBLICAN FROM OHIO WHO HAS EXPERIENCED FIRST HAND HOW THE REPUBLICAN PARTY HAS TURNED INTO THE BIG TAXERS,BIG SPENDERS,BIG GOVERMENT
WHICH HAPPENED IN MY STATE AND AWAY FROM ITS CORE PRINCIPALS, I THINK MR HUCKABEE HAS THE RIGHT MESSAGE TO GET THIS PARTY BACK ON TRACK TO GREATNESS & LEAD THE COUNTRY TO A MORE PROSPEROUS FUTURE. I HAVE SEEN 1ST HAND AS A TRUCK DRIVER WHO TRAVELS THRU ARKANSAS HOW HE HAS REBUILT THE HIGHWAY SYSTEM ON LESS DOLLARS THAN ROMNEY BILLIONS WASTED ON THE BIG DIG IN BOSTON. HUCKABEE HAS MY CONFIDENCE WITH THE TAX PAYERS MONEY AND I SUPPORT HIS FAIR TAX PLAN. PS I ASKED AROUND IN ARKANSAS AND FOUND NOBODY HAS A BAD THING TO SAY ABOUT MR HUCKABEE. THEY KNOW HIM BEST. SO I SAY HUCKABEE 08 !

How I hope Huckabee would win Michigan and South Carolina. I've just read the article interviewing Dobson and he pointed out McCain is ok with gay marriage. I think this is real important to show to the Christians in South Carolina. Maybe they don't know about it. I didn't know about this before. Many of them might not realize his standing on gay marriage. Our country is now on the verge of legalizing gay marriage and the damage it'll do to our innocent children and grandchildren will be profound and deep. They'll be born without knowing what's right and what's wrong on this issue and many more might pursue it. It's urgent that McCain's point of view on this be exposed to more people!

Wow, thought I was 500,000. No matter. I am very thankful that God has sent a man such as Mr. Huckabee! My family, my church and many of my friends have been in prayer for a long time know that God's man would come along. We have also felt that we as a nation may be at a prohetic turning point; continue down the ungodly paths that we would surely travel with the likes of many in this race and face sure distruction, or put a man in office with the wisdom, courage, honor, trufulness and Spirit-lead heart to return out nation to the great status She deserves! I am praying for you Mike!

I am hoping that I am the first 500.000 vistor. This is amazing. This is the first time I have financial supported a candidate but when I heard Huckabee on I believe on the first debate I was very much impressed by his views. I knew he was running but didn't know much about him. I am believeing that every debate I see that Huckabee is the best man for the job of President. I agree with the other comment made for talk radio they are truly against Huckabee Hannity says he is for Huckabee but in reality he is for Romney. I am also believe that Romney is working in the background cause he has stock in Clear Channel and also he has I believe that he has infuence at Fox news cause I have never seen such biased they are worse than CNN. Go Mike Just keep up the good work Iam praying for you

Mike Huckabee is a refreshing candidate for the presidental race. The first time I heard about Mr.Huckabee was on christian television channel TBN.He was fantastic on it and had a great impact on me. I'm a young christian voter who supports Mike Huckabee and prays that other young voters will do the same to change this once great nation around to support the view of our great forefathers! Have a nice day!

I pray for Mike Huckabee everyday! May the Lord give him wisdom and strength, and good health, and open more people's hearts and minds to see he is the real one. I've also sent emails recommending Huckabee to my bible study group and our church pastors. At work I'm shy about talking to people about this though, as in CA, most people are Democrats, especially in San Francisco. It's sad to live in California, where most people don't share my view. But at least one guy replied to me that he also has already decided to vote for Huckabee.

Hi bloggers,
If I really thought there saw no hope left I wouldn’t be writing this.
Shawn hannity recently stated the main campaign issues of the presidential candidates all of which I believe in very much. We must secure our borders finish the war in Iraq, a nuclear Iran etc.
I am of the conviction our priorities are all backwards. Shawn mentioned all the things I hold as good directions for this country then only mentioned moral values as an after thought. Shawn all our moral values are lost and are virtually never mentioned in society today. Do we as American people even know what moral values really are? Do all our morals rest solely with the moral treatment of animals? What are all these campaign ideas worth if we lose the principals our constitution was established to protect. Since the last election we are in very different times. For example:
MORALITY
1.) The 10 commandments have been taken from our courthouses. If we cannot display our first laws, where are we going as a country? Where would the laws of America be if we had not had the 10 commandments as an outline?
2.) Stem cell research is growing with little consideration for the opportunity to change skin cells into stem cells. If we as a country can take on the challenge of putting a man in the moon in ten years why cannot we with the proper leadership undertake the challenge of changing skin cells into stem cells in ten years?
3.) Same sexes are getting married now. Where are the morals of our children going without the principles needed from the opposite sex? Proper upbringing requires both sexes.
4.) Human cloning is coming. Are we going to divide them as those with spirits and those without? Personally I choose a doctor who has spirits doing an operation on me.
5.) I personally like saying “Merry Christmas”. I don’t want to see my
grand children have to go to their closet with their beliefs in freedom of religion. Agnostics and atheist are setting our moral guidelines with freedom from religion.
6.) Earmarks, and partisanship are the norm in our government.
7.) “In God We Trust”, and “..one nation under God” are being taken away from us.
8.) “Why should I pay for my health insurance if I can make you pay.” Smoking has changed to perspective if people. Tran fats, McDonald’s and it will not stop there. This attitude is withering away our ideals of “E Pluribus Unum”. These principles are going into an historical wasteland at an epidemic rate.
9.) Children are now saying, “You cannot spank me”, “I’ll report you to child protection” or “I’ll divorce you.” Parents should be responsible for their own children. Parents can do a better job than government can. Government must enforce the laws and not make spanking against the law. As an upper management supervisor, when you control the lower supervisor methods of supervision he is putting himself in a position to do the lower supervisors job for him. When government legislates morality it is putting itself in a position to do a job it cannot possibly do.
10.) If we teach morals we will have less drive by shootings, gang violence, guns in schools, child pregnancies, child abuse, etc.
11.) National security is everyone’s responsibility. We must win the war on terror but soldiers doing 3 and 4 tours in Iraq is immoral.
IMMIGRATION
We must seal our borders to prevent terrorist, not the Mexican people from coming in. Sealing the borders are not as difficult as building thousands of miles of fence when all it takes is bolt cutters that would require daily fence mending. Unmanned aircraft can do a far more effective job of stopping illegal immigration. Build fences in border towns, and employ border guards in foot to secure the fence from being crossed. This would be far less than 1% if the border. Use unmanned aircraft like those used on the Afghan border with Pakistan that have cameras to patron the rest of the border. Armed unmanned aircraft would not be necessary. A pilot in a control room could probably patrol hundreds of miles with a camera. Border guards would be used to pick illegal people up in a patrol car when they receive a radio call. All this would take is federal funds to get it going and retraining could restructure the duties if our border guards. The political platform should be to fund it.
Stopping illegal Mexicans is a secondary problem and our national security against terrorism is where our focus should be. Make all illegal Mexicans get registered and worry about them at a later time but seal our borders now.
These are the changes that have come on in the last 10 years (?). There are society changes on the horizon as well.
1.) National Healthcare, Child Protection Agency, etc. and other government agencies are being looked at as societies salvation. If national healthcare will prevent the man who looses his leg due to diabetes, we must make doctor visits mandatory. Shawn Hannity has talked about this happening but who will make this man take his insulin. Government being responsible for people has no end if national healthcare were to be solvent. Will society say “Sorry” the federal budget don’t allow for operations like that and by the way it is your health problem Was brought on by yourself. Is this moral?
2.) Social Security is bankrupt because politicians have dipped into it to cover their pet projects for many decades. Will politicians take a hard look at what has happened to Social Security before National Healthcare is enacted? Politicians simply want insurance funds in their hands so it can be dipped into without any moral consideration for cutting cost on healthcare to keep pet projects going. Will the people respect a Healthcare System or create a big pie all wants to dip into? Do we need national healthcare or is this an invention or do we simply need to tweak the states healthcare. Sorry, but I see something immoral in inventing political platforms.
3.) Our soldiers have stopped radical Islam in Iraq and they are winning the hearts if the Iraqi people by being there to protect them. But if radical Islam is to be defeated it is not dependent on the Iraqi government. It is the responsibility of American citizens to change the hearts and minds if the Iraqi people. The Iraqi people will in turn stop radical Islam. Radical Islam is not out to kill all Americans. Radical Islam is out to kill the immoral society of America. ‘Baywatch’ is not immoral to me but it is immoral to the Islamic people. The moral boundaries must be sold to the Islamic community with real moral leadership. Moral boundaries are the responsibility of the American people and not the Iraqi government taking responsibility for winning this moral battle.
Can moral values that seem to be long lost be reversed? Can Roe vs. Wade and prayer in school be repealed?
I personally see these as the issues that matter in this election. We need REAL CHANGE. It is time for the silent majority be heard at the ballet box. Only the strongest moral leadership can face these challenges and return this country to the platform if our forefathers. I really see no other issues as pertinent as morality.
We are at a turning point and we must act. Our leadership must establish moral limits. The Supreme Court can be redirected with the appointments to come and constitutional amendments enacted but we must have the right leadership. Mr Huckabee can put us on the right track again.

I'm an Arkansas Delta native and really had not given MH much thought until I started watching the republicans debate. I am so impressed by him and not only because he stands up and speaks out about his christianity that others have tried to use against him, but because he has impressed me with his coolness under pressure and ability to hold his own against his opponents. Right now - Huchabee gets my vote!!!

I voted Absentee for Mike today! Why?? It was down to Mike or Fred Thompson. After Fred attacked Mike by calling him a "liberal", I lost some respect for Fred and realized that in fact he was not following the credo of Regan by attacking a fellow republican.
My issues: Fair Tax, Sanctity of Life.
Good Luck Mike!

Our country needs someone like Mike Huckabee as the leader of our country. If people will only read their Bible they will understand this statement. We need someone with strong moral beliefs that is not afraid to stand up for what is right. We also need someone who comes from a "common" background to help the middle class out. We are taxed and worked to death, with no real hope unless we get Huckabee as our leader. I lived in Arkansas when he was the Governor and he was outstanding.

During the first Republican debate, 2008, I chose the candidate for me, Mike Huckabee. Yet, with each succeeding debate, I begin watching with an open mind to all others on the platform. Each time, though, Huckabee continues to keep my vote! Why isn't there a "Huckabee in Texas" link? I'm excited to say that, down here in Austin, I have "Huckamania!"

As an evangelical Christian I see Mike Huckabee as THE!!! answer (not excluding GOD,but with God's direction) that this country needs to possibly get back on track to the basic principles that this country was founded upon.. there are so many promises that are made by many of the candidates that say we need "change" , I agree 100 percent. unfortunately not one of them aside from Mike Huckabee has offered any solution to any problem facing this country. If people in this country are so closed minded as to not see where we are going, and to think the government, or the proponents of big government and continued entitlements are going to be the magic ticket to prosperity, hope and happiness , I hate to say it, we deserve exactly what we get. Unfortunately there are many of the people out there that have no valid reason for voting other than "what's in it for me". What will make my life easier without any effort on my part. It is now JFK's saying in reverse "ask not what I can do for my country but what my country can do for me"
