Memorials - to tough guys like InstaWeenie - are never about memories. They're about the Viagra-fication of Violence which is the only way his ilk can sustain an Instawoody.

If Instarube had any honor, he would have fallen on his sword three years ago. But he is a dick, through and through.

Charles,
To be fair, he did fall on his sword. It also happens to be so tiny, he got away with a scratch to his belly.

I've been to the Vietnam War memorial twice, and it's an emotional experience. I didn't lose anyone in Vietnam, I hardly know anyone who fought. But being there at the memorial, among the people who did lose their loved ones, brought me close to tears each time.
I can't imagine how anyone could criticize it.

Clearly these memorials were created by more somber serious individuals, not those with enough detachment and naivety to make such absurd criticisms.

Just death and names -- grief without glory.
I can't believe Glenn wrote something this perfect about war.
