Jay makes a great point. Instarube imagines himself to be a polymath, but he really understands nothing about almost all things. This doesn't stop him from commenting on them, and it also doesn't stop him from his passive-aggressive hits on anyone who disagrees with him. He really is a fucking putz.

If Reynolds knew anything at all about politics and technology he would realize how completely asinine that metaphor is. This is the great thing about blogs though: It allows people who know absolutely nothing about anything to comment authoritatively on everything.

The Bush people have been fantastically efficient at transferring even more wealth from the public and the treasury to those who already have wealth. That, and they're pretty good at fucking up in general, if you think of that as a skill.
