It reminds me for all the world of a hip-hop song I heard this year called, "You're a jerk." It's a catchy tune but when I read the full lyrics, it's pretty mysogenistic. But the catchy chorus has the singer repeating, "You're a jerk. You're a jerk. You're a jerk." Sometimes in between a voice says "I know", as in "You're a jerk. (I know.)"
That song immediately started running through my head when the nasty Republican white guy is saying, "I object. I object. I object." Someone could do an interesting complilation of those: "I object. (You're a jerk.) I know."
You can probably cherry-pick parliamentary moments that would make anyone look bad picked in isolation. But this one is very symbolic of the Republicans' general stand this year on domestic issues: "I object. I object. I object."
Dingell was very patient with the Republicans. They have become a thug party and so they behave. I hope their supporters are proud.
