Morford's one of my favorite columnists, but you never know what you're going to get from him. I thought he was being quite serious about Obama in this column; he seems to have bought into the whole cult of personality thing.
I don't think Obama needs Chuck Hagel at this point, his numbers are looking better every day.
Yeah, that's why I think the Hagel talk is particularly strange. You would really need to be pretty desperate to have to do something like picking one of the most hardline partisans of the other Party for the Vice Presidential nominee.
