Yup, Murtha has convicted every military person accused of a crime. Every time it happens, he speaks out against them. Every time. That's what he does.
Oh, wait. You mean it's only once? Never mind...
No one is suspending the rights of the military. When they sign up, they do agree to come under the UCMJ, which does reduce their constitutional rights, but in ways that have been historically recognized as vital to the military's unique tasks.
