Actually, I've heard just the opposite from real scientists. Most the propagandists just look at one glacier that's melting or compare present measurements to insufficient historical data that somewhat helps their side. I'm not saying either side is right or wrong.
With Europe surviving the Little Ice Age by changing their agricultural lifestyle, I'd say, in our technological era, people freak out way too much about global climate change. If it changes, we'll find a way to deal with it. There is no use fretting about it when their is such a minute source of data to go on. Time will tell the truth.
