Gravatar Now that's what I call writing! Good job. It's funny, a friend of mine who was raised in Hong Kong remembers the show as "The Kato Show". Now that's funny.

Gravatar Not really. That was the name of the series in Hong Kong - IMDB lists it as an alternate title. I suspect that it became popular in Hong Kong while Bruce Lee was working there, and in the eyes of the local people Bruce Lee was a bigger star than Van Williams was any time (a view that Williams apparently agrees with whole heartedly).

Gravatar Ok...here's what I know. Bear with me, because I've been following The Hornet for years.

The rights to The Lone Ranger has changed hands for many years, until it wound up going to Classic Media, who also owns Casper the Friendly Ghost, The Pokey Little Puppy, Mr Magoo and other classic characters. I don't belive Classic owns The Hornet however and still not sure who owns them since Miramax let the option drop since the Wienstien brothers left the company.

I do remember Dark Horse Comics trying to produce the movie for a while in the late nineties before Miramax swooped it up. In fact that version had George Clooney as Britt Reid, however he dropped that role to play Batman. It's a shame, because Clooney would be perfect for The Hornet, and we all know about we all know about what happened with Batman. It's a possibilty they could go back and try again, but who knows.
