Little "N" is waaaay too cute!
I'm still keeping your sister in my thoughts too Bobbie, and praying that she gets some answers and an end to her pain. Hug her for me will you?
I've still got IE6 at home. We just got IE7 at work and it's really not much different except it has tabbed browsing like Firefox. I've been unsure about IE8 too, even though I know it is apparently safer. I'm glad Herman found you a link to older versions in case you don't want to try getting used to 8. I may try it too, I just have to get braver first. One thing I'm definitely going to be trying out is Linux. A computer-techy friend of mine who is an avid user/promoter of it gave me a link where I can download it and still be able to switch back and forth between using it and my Windows IE. I can even "un-install" it if I don't think I'll like to use it. The thing with Linux is that it's one of the safest (if not THE safest) OS out there and never gets all the virus/worm scares that Windows does. If you're ever interested the link is http://wubi-installer.org/ It didn't install when I first tried because Windows is "fussy" so he told me just to put a blank CD in my drive and that will satisfy Windows and let Wubi (Linux) install.
Hope you have a good weekend hon!
Thanks for the hug for my sister, Jude! I'll be sure to pass it along.
Thanks for the tip on Linux. It might be worth looking into.

Oh my goodness, Bobbie, Little N is growing like a weed, and could he be any cuter! I think NOT!!!
I sure hope Charlotte can get some answers soon so that pain can go away~she's been in it far too long~poor girl.
Glad you spoke up about IE8~I keep seeing it, and debating about downloading but have been putting it off~now, Herman says it good, but he is much more savvy on the computer than I am.
Little N has doubled his birth weight, Sally, and is starting to babble. He sure is growing like a weed!

Bobbie here is the link to where you can download an older version of IE.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloa...n&
stype=s_basic
copy and paste the full address in your current browser to find it.
IE8 is much saver then the older versions and in my opinion you should give it a try. You get used to work with IE8 very soon.
Have a nice day and today.
I've given IE 8 a try, Herman, and personally I prefer IE 7. My computer is protected with anti-virus, firewall, anti-spyware, anti-fraud, privacy manager, phishing filter, parental control, pop-up blocker - I think I'm pretty protected already.
