You may have seen this before.....I used his basic premise to get my 2 ton boulder from the lake to my front yard with a couple digging bars. Not quickly, but safely (basically by slightly changing the center of gravity and rotating one end)

I've been hearing about that guy, moving the barn on a pivot. Thanks for the link!
We've got a giant chunk to move. Perhaps we'll get to try this technique.

I have a picture somewhere I'll try to find. It's a piece of platonic rock 8 1/2 by 2 by 1 1/1 feet or so, I figured 3000 pounds. The kids are sitting on it reading books while I'm moving it 1/2 inch at a time up the hill to our pavilion. I wish I could have found six more rocks just like it
