I have some solutions for you---paint with peanut butter and a variety of jams.
The only real 'toxin' likely to be in your drinking water is chlorine. You don't really filter it out, you let it evaporate. Just leave a pitcher out overnight; it will be chlorine free. The other 'toxins' are usually iron, calcium and manganese. You can get a water report from your utility company though.
We went around yesterday tying up the tansy mustard that grows wild. They are tied up tight to the stems and left in place. The leaves are supposed to etiolate and stretch looking for sun; it makes tham tender and less spicy. I'll let you know how it worked out.


Gravatar Chlorine is being replaced by Chloramine in many water districts, including ours. It doesn't evaporate. Boiling doesn't remove it. It requires both carbon filtration and reverse osmosis to remove it.

It is removed chemically with an aquarium additive.
