If it starts to look too much like the Liberals are headed for defeat, you'll see some real money come out to help the Liberal cause. There's a lot to lose for some hangers on, that have had their face in the trough for too many years.

That may be true pianoman, and the Liberals will soon recover the money they owe if they get back into power.

I think that there has to be a better way of controlling election expenditures and a simple one if possible. The possibility of buying an election with money instead of good policy, or a good record is my pet peave. There's probably no perfect solution, but maybe a good one would suffice.
