Unless we're brainless the attack ads don't sway anyone one way or another. Sometimes they ring trus, and other times they are an exaduration, but people have to think for themselves.

Attack ads in the past have led to the exposure of some very serious wrongheadedness or worse still the capers of one Mr Chretien record (?). Other times they have exposed the attackers as wrong or even plain vicious. The dyed in the wool party hacks are the biggest complainers, and they spin their attack back at the attackers. It brings to mind the addage "Me things the man protests to much", or something similar. It's politics folks.
