It is good that McKenna didn't run.

Corporate Baggage- would he represent the people or the interest of big business.
Carlyle Group Member- McKenna wants us to become a partner with the US missile defence, is that so the Carlyle group wants in on the actions.
He says what is convenient- calls the US dysfunctional or that the US congress is in a protectionist mood while describing global trade- Wait he is the Deputy Chair of TD bank, that has profited from the protection Act of 1967 where foreign banks have to many barriers to set up and compete in Canada. These are just a few but it goes to show that he only says what is going to get support in the "now" even when he doesn't believe in what he saying by acting against it.
