I disagree with Harper's decision to appoint Emerson, but I can't get over the extent of the press coverage on this crossover compared to the Stronach one. It's day after day after day, on radio, on television, and in print. The media just won't let it go. Surprisingly, the latest polls show Harper's decision hasn't much affected his popularity. Maybe he's already starting to grow that Teflon coating that helped the Liberals survive scandal after scandal.
